Is it better to relist or sell similar on eBay? ›

Relist will retain your watchers & listing data. Sell Similar will lose all that as though it was a brand new listing. If you sell lots of multiples of the same things, then maintaining your watchers may be more important to you. If you sell one-offs, it may be more important to get the boost of a 'new' listing.

That store has around 30,000 active listings, which means I am able to end-and-sell similar my whole store three times each month. You should keep in mind that ending and then selling similar will count as a new listing, which could eat up your free listings you receive with your store.

Sunday. Sunday is widely considered to be the best day to end an auction, as Jane eBay and Joe Bidder are more likely to be sitting in front of their computers at home with time to shop. In some circ*mstances, you might need to manually relist your item. For example, if you ended your listing early, or if you didn't select the auto-relist option for your auction-style listings.

You can end your listings at any time you wish and relist them whenever you wish. I use inkfrog for my account management. They have a widget that will end the listings before they automatically renew. I then relist them when I want to.

To end a listing early, select End your listing below. Go to the Active listings - opens in new window or tab page in Seller Hub. Tick the box next to the item you want to end. From the dropdown menu, select End item.

You stand a greater chance of getting the item by placing your highest bid in the closing seconds. If an auction listing has a reserve price, bid up to that amount as early as possible, so other bidders aren't attracted by the low starting price. Try bidding an uneven amount.

If you have watchers, might suggest relisting, but INCREASE the price a bit to lure out "watchers", and convert them to buyers. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes it leads to interesting emails.
