Elon Musk, the founder of SpaceX, Tesla, and the social networking company X, has the potential to become the first trillionaire in history by 1027. Informa Connect Academy, a wealth tracking organization, released a new analysis that produced this finding. The pace of growth in Musk's fortune has been 110% annually. Upon the publication of the report, the Bloomberg Billionaires Index listed him as the richest person in the world, owning $251 billion, as per the reports of The Guardian.
Other people who might become trillionaires were also highlighted in the research. If Gautam Adani, the founder of an Indian business empire, continues to grow at his current rate of 123% every year, he may become a trillionaire by 2028. If their present growth continues, Prajogo Pangestu, an Indonesian oil and mining magnate, and Jensen Huang, the CEO of tech company Nvidia, may also reach the trillion-dollar threshold in 2028. By 2030, two individuals are predicted to become trillionaires: Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Meta, and Bernard Arnault, the head of LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton.
Trillion-dollar companies
A few businesses have already achieved trillion-dollar valuations. This milestone was just reached by Berkshire Hathaway in late August, right before Warren Buffett turned ninety-four. In May 2023, Nvidia became a member of the trillion-dollar club, and by June, its valuation had hit $3 trillion. Nestled between Apple and Microsoft, Nvidia was the second-most valuable corporation in the world at that time.
For years, the public has been enthralled with the topic of who will become the first trillionaire. The first billionaire in history was John D. Rockefeller, the creator of Standard Oil, who was crowned in 1916. Even with this interest, a lot of scholars think that the amassing of enormous wealth is a social problem. According to one study, the richest 1% of people on Earth produce more carbon emissions than the poorest 66%, underscoring the negative effects that excessive wealth has on society and the environment.

Controversies surrounding Musk
Only a few days after Musk faced criticism for a post on his social media site X, Informa Connect Academy released a report on his being the first trillionaire. Musk had posted an interview that he found "very interesting" and "worth watching" between podcaster Darryl Cooper and former Fox News host Tucker Carlson. Cooper received a lot of backlash for his contentious remarks regarding the Holocaust throughout the interview. Musk took down the tweet, and Carlson's interview was denounced by the White House as "a disgusting and sad*stic insult to all Americans."
