Eggs (2024)

Not to be confused with Easter Eggs.

Eggs are the main way to obtain pets. Like pets, eggs are classified into different rarities. Eggs function similarly to babies and pets, with each of them requiring a certain amount of tasks done in order to hatch. Players can also skip the process of completing tasks in order to hatch a pet by buying the 'Hatch Now!' gamepass, which costs Eggs (1) 45 per egg. The 'Hatch Now!' gamepass can be bought repeatedly with no limit, as long as the player possesses the necessary funds and an egg to use it on.

In order to hatch eggs, the players must take care of them and complete tasks, similar to how a pet or a baby is taken care of. There is a board in the Nursery that displays all the pets that are currently in the game and the pets that the player currently has. The board changes based on the pets a player has in their inventory.

Before pet accessories were added, players had the ability to change the name of their eggs. However, after the Dress Your Pets Live Event, this ability has been resided and players can no longer change their eggs' names.

Many of the pets in Adopt Me! are obtainable through eggs, with the exception of the pets that cost Eggs (2) Robux, the pets that could only be bought with event currency, and the pets that were obtainable through opening specific items, like boxes. The Gumball Machine eggs, which include the Safari Egg, Jungle Egg, Farm Egg, Aussie Egg, Fossil Egg, Ocean Egg, Mythic Egg, Woodland Egg, Japan Egg, Southeast Asia Egg, Danger Egg, Urban Egg, Desert Egg, and Garden Egg, are limited-time eggs. They are added into the game and then leave about a few months later; they can only be obtained by trading after they are gone. Players can and could previously obtain eggs from Eggs (3) Bucks and Eggs (4) Gingerbread.

Classification of Eggs

There are many eggs that have been introduced to Adopt Me!. Some of them are currently limited or completely unobtainable.

Starter Egg

Main article: Starter Egg

Upon joining the game for the first time, each player receives a Starter Egg that would either hatch into a Dog or a Cat, which are both common pets. The Starter Egg is not tradable, and can only be redeemed by a player once by traveling to the Nursery and talking to Sir Woofington.

Currently, the Starter Egg has a 100% confirmed chance of hatching into a common pet.

Permanent Eggs

There are some eggs in Adopt Me! that will never be removed from the game and are a permanent part of it. These eggs are the Cracked Egg, Pet Egg, and the Royal Egg, which were introduced to the game upon the release of pets, and the Retired Egg which was released on July 21, 2022, upon the Normal Eggs Refresh update, containing all the pets originally present in the older version of the refreshed eggs.

The first three eggs can be bought from the Pets Section of the Nursery for Eggs (61) 350 (Cracked Egg), Eggs (62) 600 (Pet Egg), and Eggs (63) 1,450 (Royal Egg), respectively. The Retired Egg can be purchased from the VIP room inside the Nursery for Eggs (64) 600. There is no limit to how many times a player can buy these eggs.
