Why You’ll Love This Cake Mix Cobbler
- Quick and Easy: This recipe is what we call “lazy cake” or, in other words, a dump and bake. No mixing required!
- Easy to Customize: Try it with any other canned fruit or cake mix flavor!
- Perfect Fall Treat: The cinnamon and nutmeg add the perfect finishing touch!
We grew up making lazy cakes for all of our celebrations. My 4-Ingredient cherry dump cake has been a family favorite for YEARS, but we decided it was time to mix things up. This dump peach cobbler used basics from the original recipe with a few key changes. Peaches instead of cherries and the addition of a brown sugar and cinnamon topping.
If you’ve never had a dump cake before, it tastes so close to a cobbler- a cheat cobbler that is. It’s made with a base of canned fruit and dry cake mix that is dumped into a pan and baked. No stirring required.
It’s a go-to time saving dessert that everyone should save to their recipe box!
