Market With Drone Photography and Videos

Drones Photography for Real Estate Marketing in Massachusetts (1)As a real estate agent, I have passed the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle exam and have received my commercial drone license. My license now allows me to offer drone photography for real estate marketing.

I wanted the ability to bring drone photography and video to my real estate clients. I still hire out photography/drone services, but by having a drone in house I can offer aerial photography to more of my clients.

Drone photography adds another layer to marketing of my seller’s homes. When marketing a home, it all begins online. Different buyers respond to different visuals.

Aerial shots have a unique ability to provide home buyers an understanding of how a home relates to its property, the street and the neighborhood.

Let’s take a look at how drone photography is a great marketing tool to help sell your home.

Advancement in Drone Technology Makes Aerial Videos and Stills Easy

While it is not easy for anyone to pick up a drone and get great video and stills of a home for sale, drone technology has come a long way.

We can provide aerial photography and video for a fraction of a cost of what it would have been to rent a plane and shoot an aerial. And the ease and use of the DJI Phantom 4 is unprecedented.

Complex GPS and crash detection systems make flying a drone relatively simple. With the new FAA ruling of allowing commercial users to get a remote pilot’s license, it has allowed drone technology to get into the hands of everyone.

The Key to Great Drone Photography for Real Estate

The key to getting great still photographs and video footage of your home with the drone is the 3-way gimbal that controls the camera. The gimbal uses 3 servo motors to stabilize the camera along with other vibration-dampening systems.

The gimbal allows for very smooth video footage and photographs.

Before we go any farther, let’s look at this drone statistic from RIS Media.

According to MLS statistics, homes with aerial images sold68 percent fasterthan homes with standard images.

Why Use a Drone For Real Estate Marketing

So first and foremost, you need quality real estate photography of the exterior and interior of the home. But you can enhance your skills and even video marketing by using a drone. What does drone real estate photography and video for real estate offer?

Benefits Of Using Drone Photography and Video for Marketing Homes For Sale

Capturing Unique Perspectives:

Drones offer the ability to capture unique aerial perspectives that showcase the property and its surroundings in a visually stunning way. This allows potential buyers to get a better understanding of the property’s layout, size, and nearby amenities, which can significantly impact their decision-making process.

Showcasing Property Features:

Drones enable real estate professionals to highlight the unique features and selling points of a property. Comprehensive Property Overviews:

Drone photography and video allow for comprehensive overviews of the property and its surroundings. This can be particularly useful for showcasing larger estates, properties with extensive grounds, or those located in scenic areas. By providing a holistic view, drones help potential buyers get a sense of the property’s overall appeal
and make more informed decisions.

Enhanced Marketing Materials:

Integrating drone imagery into real estate marketing materials significantly enhances their quality and impact. Professionally captured aerial photographs and videos make listings more visually appealing and increase their shareability on online platforms and social media. This, in turn, attracts a wider audience and generates more interest in the property, potentially leading to quicker sales.

First and foremost, drones offer the ability to take a unique perspective of your home that home buyers are not used to seeing. Home buyers are not typically used to seeing aerial views of a home. The mere novelty of it will catch their attention.
