How to Get Past the Doors
Confront the Forgotten
Since Early Access, the main focus of Disney Dreamlight Valley is the Forgetting and how it affected the residents of Dreamlight Valley. Over the past few updates, that story has progressed further and players finally learned more about what caused the Forgetting. Eventually players unlock the penultimate quest, "The Forgotten Relics", that leads into the final story quest that wraps up the current story arc of Disney Dreamlight Valley.
In "The Dark Castle", players must use the long-lost belongings of the Forgotten to reach its domain and save Dreamlight Valley before it is too late. This walkthrough will show players how to complete "The Dark Castle".

Give the Relics to Merlin
Find Merlin and speak to him to give him the Forgotten Relics, which are needed for an enchantment. After talking to him, follow Merlin to the plaza. By using the Forgotten Relics, a portal opens up.
Go Through the Portal
When ready, approach the portal and enter it. After the cutscene, go across the bridge and enter the castle. There will be a bunch of Night Thorns blocking the way toward a glowing purple door. Bringing along some food to restore Energy is recommended.
How to Get Past the Doors
Approach the door and interact with it. The door will not let players pass unless they equip the Thorn set that is acquired by leveling up. Equip the full set (including the wings and the crown), and then speak with the door again. It will allow players to pass. Once through this door, players can switch their outfit if they wish.
Use the door and then go up the stairs. Clear out any Night Thorns that are blocking the way forward, but don't bother going after all of them. Go up the stairs and take a left to reach a cooking fire and a table with some new ingredients. Beyond this is a door that requires an item. Left of the door is a note saying that the door likes to be fed.
Approach the table with the ingredients. There are four ingredients that can be used here. The four ingredients are Dark Castle Lettuce, Dark Castle Garlic, Dreamlight Salt, and Thorn Sprout. To the right of the cooking fire is a note that gives hints on how players should use the ingredients on the table.
In order to get past Doorine, the second door, take one Dreamlight Salt, one Thorn Sprout, and one Dark Castle Lettuce. Cook them together to create Night Thorn Sprout Salad. Approach the door and use the Night Thorn Sprout Salad to get past it.
Beyond the door, go up the stairs and take a right. Again, remove any Night Thorns blocking the way. Up ahead is a space for a door, but it is missing. To the right is a note on a pedestal that gives a hint. Pull up the camera and take a selfie to make the door appear.
Go through the door and then pick up the nearby tiki torch on the ground. This will add three torches to the inventory screen. In order to unlock the door, place the torches in the following order.
Place the Night Torch into the pedestal where the key is facing left. Place the Dusk Torch into the pedestal on the right of the Night Torch. Place the Noon Torch into the pedestal to the right of the Dusk Torch.
Finally, use the Royal Pickaxe to destroy the ice and grab the Dawn Torch. Place the Dawn torch into the final pedestal. This will cause the key to fall out of the ice and into the water. Use the Royal Fishing Rod to retrieve the key. Take the key to the door and use it.
Confront the Forgotten
Upon opening the door, a cutscene will play and players will come face to face with the Forgotten once again. After a brief conversation, walk toward the Forgotten. Talk to the Forgotten again and then approach the sandbox. Use the 'Focus magic' prompt and then talk to the Forgotten.
Look around for another light spot with a bed underneath it and approach the Forgotten. Repeat the same process that was used on the sandbox. Follow the Forgotten to another spotlight with a desk and focus magic on this spot as well.
Go to the next spotlight where there is a bookshelf. Repeat all the same steps as the previous areas. Players will get a choice at this point, but the choice made does not matter. This triggers a cutscene that ends the quest and rolls the credits. Make sure to watch to the end, as there is a brief cutscene after the credits as well.
