DEX Screener is a powerful platform that people can use to track cryptos and analyze data from multiple different blockchains and decentralized exchanges. The Decentralized Finance (DeFi) world is pretty expansive with many moving parts. There is no doubt that it’s easy to miss trends in the crypto space, and it gets worse if you have no idea how to find and chart different cryptocurrencies.
Perhaps you are just a Coinbase user, and you are interested in learning how to copy and paste a contract address for a certain coin to make a trade on Uniswap. DEX Screener is an impeccable tool that lets you analyze and easily trade all of these low cap cryptocurrencies.
This article offers insight into DEX Screener, how to use it, and why DEX Screener is a powerful crypto tool to have on your belt.
What is DEX Screener?
DEX Screener is a great tool for crypto traders, providing real-time charts and scanning different decentralized exchanges (DEX). I personally use it everyday to track different coins. The platform has millions of users and is highly trusted among cryptocurrency traders.
It’s a one-stop platform for everything going on in the DEX world, displaying trends, alerts, and ranking token pairs by price, volume, and liquidity. With DEX Screener, you can track and view your favorite DEX charts in real time. Traders can then use that data to make informed decisions about their investments.
Key Features and Benefits of DEX Screener
As an essential analytical tool, DEX Screener is results-driven, and all its features contribute to data provision. It allows you to analyze real-time data from different exchanges and blockchains. Here are the DEX Screener features you should know about, and which ones I use the most everyday.
Watchlist
This is a feature I use a lot. I can add all of the coins I am interested in to my saved Watchlist. Here you can view all the metrics of your favorite DEX coins including price, transactions, volume, liquidity, and more.
When you click on a coin, you can view the chart and other important metrics on the right side column. Here you can click “Trade on Uniswap” if you want to trade or simply copy the contract address and manually enter it on Uniswap.
In the bottom right corner you can click “EXP” and it will take you to Etherscan or whatever blockchain explorer the coin uses. For example, if you were viewing a coin that runs on Binance Smart Chain, the link would take you to BscScan.
After clicking the explorer link on (example – NXRA) in the bottom right, it takes you to Etherscan where you can view the holder count, max supply, total transfers, price, and market cap metrics.
Click on “Holders” to get an in-depth look at how the total supply of a certain token is distributed.
Trends
This feature keeps you in the loop on the hottest trends happening in the DEX market, including price and volume changes. It sorts its alerts on all platforms in real time, so you can stay up to date on what is trending.
New Pairs
Here you can view live new pairs listed on various different blockchains. Easily sort by volume, age, and liquidity. You can also rank by newest and highest gainers.
Alerts
Cryptocurrency prices can change in the blink of an eye. Set price alerts for a pair of your choosing so you can be alerted when the price reaches your desired level.
DEX Screener Portfolio
Add your favorite DEX tokens to an easy to view portfolio by connecting your wallet to the application. Note this is just for reading information and does not give access to your private keys. Simply give your wallet a name and enter the wallet address containing the tokens that you want to track.
Token Sniffer and Go+ Security Integration
DEX Screener has integrated these token security API tools to help you make informed decisions when deciding to invest in a certain crypto project. The tools can analyze a specific contract to see if it is verified or renounced. It can also detect other metrics such as buy and sell fees and whether or not the token is a honeypot. As you scroll down, you can view the holder analysis and see the liquidity providers.
Sign-up to Coinbase and get $10 in Bitcoin.
Multiple Charts
Add up to 16 different charts on one screen. Customize the amount you want to view and set parameters for each chart.
Filter Transactions
This feature is very useful and I find myself using it quite a bit. You can track a user’s trades by clicking the filter icons below “Maker” and beside each individual wallet address. You can also manually add an address that you know have interacted with this contract by clicking the main filter button.
Track the buys and sells plotted on the graph over any time interval. You can clear the search by clicking on the filter icon again. This is a great tool to see transactions of a certain wallet address.
Top 10 Chains to Analyze on DEX Screener
DEX Screener has over seventy chains on its platforms, each having a trail of information for its users. Simply click on the desired blockchain and change the settings as you choose. Here are the top featured chains you can search for on the platform.
- Ethereum
- Arbitrum
- BSC
- Polygon
- Optimism
- Base
- Solana
- zkSync
- PulseChain

Conclusion
DEX Screener is a powerful tool for any crypto trader. It is my tool of choice when it comes to analyzing different cryptocurrencies. I like the layout and the ease of use and I prefer to use it over DEX Tools for this reason. Analyzing data from different exchanges and blockchains is made simple on DEX Screener. The tools available will most definitely up your game in crypto.
