What should you do to recover a deleted site? ›

Restore a site

If you deleted your site within 30 days, you can restore it. On a computer, open a site in classic Google Sites. Click Deleted sites. Next to your deleted site, click Restore site.

If you haven't followed Google's quality guidelines, you may have a permanent or temporary removal from the Google search results. There are three primary types of Google penalties: Your website is sandboxed, which means you experience a sudden drop in Google traffic, but your domain is not penalised or deindexed.

Check the Recycle Bin

On almost all computer systems, once a file has been deleted this is the place it will end up next. With a quick search in the Bin, your wayward file can easily be selected and restored to its original folder as long as you have not emptied it.

Can files be recovered once deleted? Yes, files can be recovered after being deleted. The level of difficulty depends on how long ago the file was deleted, however, and you may need to use specialized tools if trying to recover data that has been corrupted.

On your computer, open Chrome. At the top right, click More > Settings > Advanced. On Chromebook, Linux, and Mac: Click Reset settings > Restore settings to their original defaults and then Reset settings.

Security issues can also cause your website to disappear from Google search results. Google may penalize your website if it detects that your site is vulnerable to malware or phishing attacks. In some cases, your site may even be displayed with a warning in the browser or in search results.

Did you recently create the page or request indexing? It can take time for Google to index your page; allow at least a week after submitting a sitemap or a submit to index request before assuming a problem. If your page or site change is recent, check back in a week to see if it is still missing.

Purpose: Restores files deleted with the DELETE command. Used to recover files that have been previously erased. The UNDELETE command can only recover deleted files if no new files or changes have been made on the disk since the deletion.

You can restore recently deleted photos and videos that are still in your trash. Items that are permanently deleted can't be restored. Backed up photos and videos stay in your trash for 60 days. Photos and videos that weren't backed up stay in your trash for 30 days.

Items restored from Recoverable Items go to the Deleted Items folder. When you recover items from the Recoverable Items folder, they are moved to the Deleted Items folder. After you recover an item, you can find it in your Deleted Items folder and then you can move it to another folder.
