There are no penalties for declining a request.

In order to decline a special offer, simply don't accept. If your host wants to send you a new offer, they have the ability to do so; otherwise, there's no negative affect on your account for not accepting, or responding, to the offer (as a guest!).

Click the arrow to the right of "Recent Messages" and click Airbnb Messages. Click the relevant message that shows status "Pending" to the right of the sender's name. At the top of the message thread, click Accept Reservation or Decline.

Once a guest sends you a request, you can review the reservation details and decide if you want to accept or deny their request. If you accept the reservation request, the guest will be prompted to complete the booking through a message in their inbox.
