Right now, the Pokemon that can potentially be a Ditto in disguise are Oddish, Koffing, Rhyhorn, Goldeen, Spinarak, Numel, Bidoof, Gothita, Solosis, Bergmite, and Stufful.

From the original Generation 1, Ditto can disguise itself as four different Pokémon: Oddish, Koffing, Rhyhorn, or Goldeen. While these don't often have increased spawn rates, many will during the Rediscover Kanto event, which is set to run until the 10th of May.

Unfortunately, there is only a slim 1 in 64 chance to get a Shiny Ditto from any encounter involving the creatures mentioned in Pokémon GO. This may be one of the hardest Pokémon to find in the entire game, so you may need to seriously grind to add it to your collection.

Ditto will also be unable to remain in a transformed state if it starts laughing. Frequently, a Ditto appears that it can't transform its face. This fact is seen in the anime, in which Ditto that was transformed into a Bulbasaur.

There are, however, three mythical Pokémon who are harder to obtain… Keldeo. These Pokémon are Zarude, Hoopa and Keldeo - all of which can only be obtained by completing special research quests, which themsevles were only available for a limited amount of time.

Instead, Ditto disguises itself as other Pokémon, and there's no way to tell which ones. Ditto will reveal itself during the first turn of battle, so you will need to look around these areas, challenging Pokémon until you find one.

This is because Ditto has a lower catch rate, but it'll disguise its catch ring colors with the Pokémon Species it is posing as.

Ditto can appear as the following Pokémon: Oddish, Koffing, Rhyhorn, Goldeen, Spinarak, Bidoof, Numel, Gothita, Solosis, Stufful, and Bergmite. Whenever you encounter any of these Pokémon in the wild, try to catch it, as this could be a Ditto.

The primary method of the Mew glitch involves having a wild Ditto transform into the player's Pokémon, as this copies the Special stat, which is used to modify the species of Pokémon encountered.

The best way to do this is to use Pokemon GO Lure Modules or an Incense in a PokeStop or Gym. These items increase the number of Pokemon that appear on the world map, meaning more encounters and chances to find a Ditto. One can also use the in-game item Incense and the Weather Boost function.
