Crunchyroll has revealed its top anime crushes of 2023, as voted on by fans, with some anime making multiple appearances thanks to their heartthrob-filled casts.
Crunchyroll's recently released poll results for the top anime crushes of 2023 tallied over 4,300 responses and included honorable mentions. Unsurprisingly, it was revealed that Jujutsu Kaisen's Satoru Gojo was the biggest anime crush of the year. The full top 10 can be read below, and the honorable mentions were Nobara Kugisaki (Jujutsu Kaisen, 54 votes), Roronoa Zoro (One Piece, 77 votes), Levi Ackermann (Attack on Titan, 86 votes), Maomao (The Apothecary Diaries, 93 votes), Mitsuri Kanroji (Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, 97 votes) and Eren Yeager (Attack on Titan, 109 votes).

JJK, Spy x Family and Trigun Were Big Winners for 2023 Anime Crushes
As the data reveals, Jujutsu Kaisen was the runaway leader in producing anime crushes, with Trigun Stampede and Spy x Family coming second. This was on full display after figure makers Design Coco unveiled life-sized versions of Gojo, which attracted all sorts of thirst posts and fantasies. Nanami's hairpulling of Haruta in Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 went viral, while Yor's mix of warmth and deadliness continues to evoke feelings all across the spectrum.
Released this month, the Crunchyroll poll results follow a report from Polygon on anime consumption habits, which revealed that 44% of anime-watchers had developed a crush on a character. This number grew to 58% among Gen Z. Off-screen, anime also played a role in friendship, identity and attraction, with 50% of Gen Z admitting that the medium influenced their attraction.
