Create labels to organise Gmail - iPhone & iPad (2024)

1. Make sure that you've downloaded the Gmail app.
2. On your iPhone or iPad, open the Gmail app .
3. Open a message. (If you want to stay in your inbox, tap the sender's profile image.)
4. In the top right, tap More Change labels.
5. Tick the boxes next to the labels that you want to add.
6. In the top right, tap Apply.

3. Tap Inbox customisations Inbox customisations Labels.
4. Tap a label name. If you can't see a label that you want to use, create a new label first.
5. Tap Add.
6. In the 'From' field, type a name or email address.
   • To add more search criteria, such as a subject or keyword, tap And.
7. In the top right, tap Save.

Note: Only new messages that match these criteria will be automatically added to the label.
