Keep your financial life organized by creating lists to track the ticker symbols you're watching or holding. My Portfolio is the name for the Yahoo Finance toolkit that enables you to follow the collected stocks you are interested in tracking, by the creation of watchlists, multiple portfolios you can build based on your actual, potential, or fantasy holdings, and linked brokerage account portfolios (as applicable). Once you establish stocks to follow through My Portfolio, you will have access to multiple analytics across Yahoo Finance that will afford greater insight into the stocks you're interested in. Yahoo Finance lets you make new lists, delete lists, and add and edit ticker symbols with ease.

Create a list

From a desktop browser:

  1. Sign in to Yahoo Finance.
  2. Click My Portfolio.
  3. On the right, click Create New Portfolio.
  4. Choose an option to securely create your portfolio.
  5. Enter a name and select a currency for the new list.
  6. Click Submit.

From a mobile browser:

  1. Sign in to Yahoo Finance.
  2. Tap the Menu icon Create, delete and edit your portfolio |Finance for Web Help- SLN4249 (1).
  3. Tap My Portfolio.
  4. Tap any list.
  5. In the upper right, tap the More icon Create, delete and edit your portfolio |Finance for Web Help- SLN4249 (2).
  6. Go down and select Create Portfolio.
  7. Tap Done.
  8. Enter a name and select a currency for the new list.
  9. Tap Submit.

Delete a list

From a desktop browser:

  1. Sign in to Yahoo Finance.
  2. Click My Portfolio.
  3. Under "My Portfolios," click the list you want to delete.
  4. On the right, click Settings | select Delete Portfolio.
  5. Click Confirm.

From a mobile browser:

  1. Sign in to Yahoo Finance.
  2. Tap the Menu icon Create, delete and edit your portfolio |Finance for Web Help- SLN4249 (3).
  3. Tap My Portfolio.
  4. Tap the list you want to delete.
  5. In the upper right, tap the More icon Create, delete and edit your portfolio |Finance for Web Help- SLN4249 (4).
  6. Select Delete Portfolio.
  7. Tap Done.
  8. Tap Confirm.

Add symbols to a list

From a desktop browser:

  1. Sign in to Yahoo Finance.
  2. Click My Portfolio.
  3. Under "My Portfolios," click the list you want to add to.
  4. Click Add Symbol.
  5. Enter one or more ticker symbols separated by commas.
  6. Press Enter.

From a mobile browser:

  1. Sign in to Yahoo Finance.
  2. Tap the Menu icon Create, delete and edit your portfolio |Finance for Web Help- SLN4249 (5).
  3. Tap My Portfolio.
  4. Tap the list you want to add to.
  5. Tap Add Symbol.
  6. Enter a ticker symbol, then tap it to add it.

Reorder symbols in a list

From a desktop browser:

  1. Sign in to Yahoo Finance.
  2. Click My Portfolio.
  3. Under "My Portfolios," click the list you want to reorder.
  4. Click Fundamentals.
  5. Click Reorder.
  6. Click, hold, and drag a symbol to move it within your list.
  7. Click Save.

From a mobile browser:

  1. Sign in to Yahoo Finance.
  2. Tap the Menu icon Create, delete and edit your portfolio |Finance for Web Help- SLN4249 (6).
  3. Tap My Portfolio.
  4. Tap the list you want to reorder.
  5. On the right, tap the More icon Create, delete and edit your portfolio |Finance for Web Help- SLN4249 (7) | select Edit Symbols.
  6. Tap Done.
  7. Press, hold, and drag a symbol to move it within your list.
  8. Tap Done.

Remove symbols from a list

From a desktop browser:

  1. Sign in to Yahoo Finance.
  2. Click My Portfolio.
  3. Under "My Portfolios," click the list with the symbol you want to remove.
  4. Click Summary.
  5. Select the checkboxes for the symbols you want to remove.
  6. Click Delete Symbols.
  7. Click Confirm.

From a mobile browser:

  1. Sign in to Yahoo Finance.
  2. Tap the Menu icon Create, delete and edit your portfolio |Finance for Web Help- SLN4249 (8).
  3. Tap My Portfolio.
  4. Tap the list that contains the symbol you want to remove.
  5. On the right, tap the More icon Create, delete and edit your portfolio |Finance for Web Help- SLN4249 (9).
  6. Select Edit Symbols from the list.
  7. Tap Done.
  8. Tap the Delete icon Create, delete and edit your portfolio |Finance for Web Help- SLN4249 (10) next to the symbol you want to remove.
  9. Tap Done to return to your portfolio.
