What countries are supported by Apple Pay? ›

Add your Regions card to Apple Pay® by following the instructions on your device.

If you use Apple Pay to pay with a card overseas, standard overseas charges will apply, as shown in your card Terms and Conditions. Based on your mobile plan and mobile network's offering, additional message data charges and foreign transaction fees may also apply.

Note: The Apple Support app, AppleCare+ plans, and certain features of the app and/or AppleCare+ plans are available only in select countries or regions. You are not required to purchase an AppleCare+ plan to use the Apple Support app.

Walmart isn't the only holdout on accepting Apple Pay, though. Home Depot partnered with PayPal, and now doesn't accept either Apple Pay or Google Wallet. Arby's, Applebees, and Hobby Lobby also don't accept Apple Pay.

What is the difference between Apple Pay and Apple Wallet? Apple Pay is the safe way to pay and make secure purchases in stores, in apps, and on the web. Apple Wallet is the place where you store your credit or debit cards so you can use them with Apple Pay.

What region are you in? Apple Pay is only available in certain regions. Also check the card that you have added to your Wallet is in the same region. Check the region on your phone at Settings > General > Language & Region.

Go to Settings->General->Language & Region->Region and set it to a region where Apple Pay is supported. Do note, the card must be from the region you have the phone set to.

Apple Pay will work in all countries where contactless payments are accepted. We recommend you take your plastic card as a backup, as not all merchants in all countries may support contactless payments.

Can I use Apple Pay in Italy? ›

In Italy, you can use your iPhone and Apple Watch to make Apple Pay purchases in stores with your Maestro card. Maestro cards can't be used within apps and on the web. In the Netherlands, you can add Maestro cards to all compatible devices except Mac.
