The Copenhagen Card is worth it, if you plan to be a tourist

In my opinion, the Copenhagen Card is 100% worth it if it's your first time to the city and you plan to visit as many of its top tourist destinations as you can.

If you like to stay active and cram in A LOT, yes, you will definitely get your money's worth. We paid 1858 DK for two 4-day cards. Nearly every attraction in Copenhagen is on it.

All shops etc. are by law required to accept cash. However card payments are the most common and preferred. Contact-less and Apple/Google Pay is everywhere.

With just three days for your trip, it's easy to pack your schedule with too many attractions (but never too many tebirkes, the tasty flaky poppy seed pastries with marzipan filling).

In Copenhagen, tipping is not a tradition. If you receive extraordinary good service, you are welcome to reward it with a tip, but it is not expected. Service is normally included in the bill at restaurants, hotels and taxis. Thus it is optional whether to round up the bill or not.

All shops and restaurants in CPH are committed to accept Euro (EUR), US Dollars (USD). However be aware, that change most often will be provided in DKK (DKK). If you wish to exchange Danish coins before departure, this will be possible both at Global Exchange and Forex.

Denmark is a mostly cashless country, so most shops prefer to accept Dankort or credit cards over cash.

Language. In Copenhagen, the mother tongue is Danish, which is closely related to both Swedish and Norwegian. In general Danes speak English extremely well, and some even German and French.

Copenhagen is a city with lots to see and do. However, if you only have a short period of 2 days to spend in the Danish capital – don't worry, this is enough to see all the main sights. Having said that, you should expect that you will not see all the sights in just 2 days.

I suggest spending at least 3 days in Copenhagen, which is perfect for a long weekend getaway! 3 days are great for immersing yourself in the unique atmosphere of the Danish capital and discovering its main highlights and attractions – without rushing. On the other hand, spending more time is always a great thing.

City Passes

Unlike the all-zone 24-hour ticket, this ticket is valid only in zones 1 - 4 and is also available as a 72-hour ticket. The 24-hour and 72-hour City Pass cost 80 DKK and 200 DKK respectively. Children below the age of 16 pay 40 DKK for a 24-hour pass and 100 DKK for a 72-hour pass.
