Does the White House actually respond to emails? ›

Due to the large volume of e-mail received, the White House cannot respond to every message. For further up-to-date information on Presidential initiatives, current events, and topics of interest to you, please continue to use the White House website. Note: Please submit messages in text format only.

If you write a letter, please consider typing it on an 8 1/2 by 11 inch sheet of paper. If you hand-write your letter, please write as neatly as possible with an ink pen. Include your return address on your letter as well as on your envelope.

Because so many of you write, the President cannot personally review each message, though he does receive samples of his incoming correspondence.
