Plastiq operates in compliance with all card issuer and brand policies, as well as Federal and State law. As per our Terms of Service, we reserve the right to review any payment to ensure we can support that payment and disburse it promptly.
If our Account Services team reviews a payment and determines that we cannot support it, Plastiq will decline to carry out the payment and refund the payment immediately. The refund would be credited back to the payment method that initiated the payment. This refund would appear on your customer’s card statement within 3-5 business days of cancellation.

Capital One Card Restrictions
To comply with Capital One policy, Plastiq is restricted to processing payments for Capital One Business cards. Plastiq cannot facilitate any payments using a personal Capital One card. The following payment categories are restricted for all Capital One business credit cards issued by Capital One:
-Mortgage
-Home Equity Line of Credit
-Auto Loans
-Student Loans
U.S. Bank Card Restrictions
For U.S. Bank cardholders, payments for loans are not supported on Plastiq. The following payment categories are restricted for all credit cards (i.e. Visa, Mastercard, and American Express) issued by U.S. Bank:
-Mortgage
-Home Equity Line of Credit
-Auto Loans
-Student Loans
