Le rayon moyen de la Terre est long de 6371 kilomètres.
Et le tour complet de la Terre mesure un peu plus de 40000 kilomètres, 40075 au niveau de l’équateur pour être précis. Car la Terre n’est pas une sphère parfaite et son rayon est plus grand à l’équateur qu’aux pôles. Ainsi la Terre ressemble à une boule un peu écrasée. Cependant, cet «écrasem*nt» est assez faible puisque le tour de la Terre mesuré aux pôles est tout de même 40007 kilomètres!
