What does an equal opportunity algorithm mean?
Clapper uses an equal opportunity algorithm, which means that every video that shows up on the FYP has equal opportunity to go viral. If you have 6 followers, you have the same chance to go viral as a creator with 60,000!
To get your video on the FYP, make sure it 1) has no watermarks, 2) has good recording or playback quality, and 3) follows our community guidelines.
Where can I report an issue?
In-app, you can report a video by clicking the arrow on the right-side of your screen. You’ll select the reason you’re reporting the video, then type up a summary of what you saw. Be sure to include a screenshot of your specific problem! To report a user, go to their profile and hit the 3 dots in the top right corner. Select why you’re reporting them, add a summary, and add any screenshots of your specific problem!
If you have to make a technical report or notice a glitch, DM us at @ClapperCreator or @ClapperAcademy with a summary of your issue, your device type (Android or Apple) the app version number, and a screenshot/screenrecording of the issue.

How can I get verified?
There are two ways to get verified on Clapper! The first is your Creator Verification, and for that you’ll need:
- at least 3k followers
- at least 1 video over 3k views
- at least 7 videos created in the last 30 days
The next is your Blue Check Verification, where you’ll need:
- at least 30k followers
- at least 10 videos in 30 days
- at least 5k average video views in the last 30 days
- be continuously creating original and high-quality videos
- to already have your Creator Verification. You cannot skip Creator Verification and go to Blue Check.
To submit either application, go to the “My Verification” tab in your Creator Space. To learn more about Verification, read Verification 101.
I want to upload my music! How do I do that?

How do I go Live?
In the bottom middle of your screen, there’s a plus sign icon. Click it and select the Live option. You’ll be taken to a Live settings screen, where you can give your Livestream a title, choose if you want to use front or back camera, put on a beauty filter, and make it a Clapper Shop Live. Once everything is to your liking, just hit “Start Live”. One final menu will come up asking you to agree with the community guidelines and our general rules, and then you’re Live!

How do I host a Radio?
In the bottom middle of your screen, there’s a plus sign icon. Click it and select the Radio option. You’ll be taken to a Radio settings screen, where you can give your Radio a title and read a few tips on how to host a Radio. Once you’re ready, hit “Start Radio!” A final menu will come up, going over the basic community guidelines for Radios. Once you agree, there’ll be a quick countdown, and boom, you’re live!

How do I send a Livestream Gift?
When you’re in a Livestream, there should be a present along the bottom of the screen (beside the “Comment” bar). Click it and you’ll be taken to our menu of Livestream gifts! Scroll through, find the one you want to give, and click on it to send. If you need to recharge your Clapper Coins, you’ll be prompted to do so!
How do I post a video?
In the bottom middle of your screen, there’s a plus sign icon. Click it and select the Video option. You’ll be taken to our recording screen where you can select which camera you want to use (front or back), add sound, turn on the flash, record your video, or even upload one from your library. When you’re done recording, hit the orange checkmark. You’ll be taken to our editing screen, where you can add sound (if you didn’t before), text, a voiceover, and adjust the volume or clip length.
Once you’re happy with your video, click “Next” in the bottom right corner. You can add a caption, hashtags, and tag your friends on this page, as well as make some edits to who can see your video! Once your happy with everything, click “Post” in the bottom right corner. To save for later, hit “Drafts” in the bottom left.
Remember! All videos have to be at least 6 seconds long to upload!
How do I pin a video on my profile?
Open the video you want to pin. Hit the three dots on the right side of your screen (where the Share button is on all other videos). A menu should pop up: select “Pin to Profile”, and you’re done!

What are those tags on people’s profiles?
Those are Profile Tags! This feature allows creators to add self-identifying tags to their profile, highlighting what they’re passionate about and what communities they’re part of. Creators can tap each tag to find other people using the same tags, and the Friend Finder in the search bar matches them with compatible creators.
How can I edit my profile?
To edit your profile picture, username and bio, click the “Edit Profile” button on your profile page – just under your Following and Followers counts. To edit your Profile Tags, click on any tag: it will take you to a page showing all the people that have used the same tag. At the bottom, there will be a button that says “Edit My Tag”. You’ll be able to remove and reselect your Profile Tags.
How do I pin a DM or Groupchat?
Find the DM or Groupchat that you want to pin and swipe to the left. There should be 2 options that pop up: “Pin” and “Delete”. Select pin and this thread will always be at the top of your messages!
