Candle PatternsProfessional traders often utilize candlestick patterns as a part of their technical analysis toolkit. These patterns provide insights into market sentiment and potential price movements. The best advice for trading candlestick patterns includes:1. **Confirmation**: Don't rely solely on candle patterns. Always use them in conjunction with other technical indicators and fundamental analysis to validate your trading decisions.2. **Timeframes**: Consider the timeframe you're trading on. Patterns may hold different significance on shorter versus longer timeframes.3. **Volume**: Pay attention to trading volume along with candle patterns, as volume can confirm or invalidate a pattern's reliability.4. **Context**: Analyze the surrounding market conditions and trends before acting on a candle pattern. Context is crucial in determining the pattern's significance.5. **Risk Management**: Implement proper risk management techniques, such as setting stop-loss orders and position sizes, to protect your capital from significant losses.6. **Practice**: Regularly practice and backtest your trading strategies involving candlestick patterns before applying them in live markets.7. **Continuation vs. Reversal**: Understand whether a candle pattern signifies a continuation of the existing trend or a potential reversal. This influences your entry and exit points.8. **Patience**: Wait for confirmation of the pattern through subsequent price action before making your trading decision.Remember, successful trading requires a combination of skill, experience, and a disciplined approach. Always be open to learning and adapting your strategies based on changing market conditions.LAST POINT, you don't need to know ALL of these, focus on just a few and look for the setup and master them a few at a time.

Seminar Week for my Post Grad Diploma in Strategic Leadership and Management. Another thing I have been supported with by the Army who paid for 80% of my course fee with Enhanced Learning Credits. This will be topped up next year to a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) with Staffordshire University.4 Modules in 5 days on the Seminar! 3 hours of lectures followed by a 4000 word submission before 9am the next day, only to do the same again the next day. An intense week but should only leave me with the Project Management Module to complete before certification.Thursday is the C3IA Solutions Ltd Supervisors Dinner in London, and will be my last thing in the Army, with me being end of shelf life on 14th Sept. Really looking forward to catching up with old friends, and looking forward to my transition into civillian life!#c3ia #britisharmy #stratfordbusinessschool

Understanding Machine Learning Made SimpleMachine Learning can seem like a complex field, but it really breaks down into two main categories: Supervised Learning and Unsupervised Learning.- Supervised Learning: This is like having a teacher. You give the model examples with the answers, and it learns to predict them. There are two types: - Classification: Sorting things into categories (like "spam" or "not spam"). - Regression: Predicting numbers (like housing prices).- Unsupervised Learning: This is where the model learns on its own. It finds patterns in the data without any guidance. The most common use? Clustering—grouping similar things together.I remember when I first started learning this, it felt like a whole new language. But once you break it down, the pieces start to make sense. The key is knowing which method to use depending on your data and problem.Let's keep making complex things simple! #MachineLearning #DataScience #AI

Having spent more time in my life in the British Army than out of it!, including the last 6 years in Operations Management and Operational Planning:I’ve seen my fair share of kit breaking down at the worst possible times, vehicles, equipment and your human error of putting USB's in the wrong equipment leaving cyber security threats knocking on the door! As tech marches on, there’s no doubt AI could be a game-changer for Defence, and not just in the T-101 autonomous Terminator way (yet...).⚙️ Predictive Maintenance: So many times I experienced times when equipment would pile in just as you needed it most, or just as you are rolling out of camp. AI’s changing the game here in industry. By predicting when vehicles, aircraft, or ships are going to throw in the towel, it helps keep downtime to a minimum. Fewer unexpected breakdowns = more equipment maintaining operational readiness and fewer headaches for everyone.Imagine knowing the % likelihood of a vehicle breaking down before you even deploy. It would make Operational Risk Planning much more palatable. (There's an example of a vehicle Dashboard at the end)AI isn't just some fancy buzzword—it's got the potential to transform how we operate in Defence. Whether it’s helping make smarter decisions, driving or maintaining capability, or simply keeping the supply chain flowing, it’s something worth keeping an eye on.Watch this space...#AI #Defence #PredictiveMaintenance #MilitaryInnovation #OperationsManagement

https://lnkd.in/eca8ut6mI saw a comment on this post earlier incinuating that veterans all support war. 12 months ago it would have wound me up and I would have gone all defensive amd posted an angry response. But now, I have a much more positive approach to everything I do and I responded in the best way possible. The comment was about our veterans and saying that he hopes that they are the ones who condemn Nagasaki, Hiroshima, Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, Palestine. I responded with this:The vast majority of military and ex-military personnel do not advocate for war or conflict. Instead, many have experienced the harsh realities of war firsthand and are deeply committed to promoting peace and helping others avoid the traumas they have endured.Veterans, in particular, often dedicate themselves to supporting their fellow servicemen and women, especially as they transition to civilian life. This support is grounded in a strong sense of camaraderie and a desire to ensure that those who have served are able to build fulfilling lives post-service.While it's true that governments and military organisations have been involved in complex and controversial actions globally, it's essential to distinguish between the policies made by governments and the individuals who serve under those policies. Many veterans actively advocate for peace, human rights, and justice in their communities.Supporting veterans in the community and their transition to civillian live is hugely important, we all need to continue to support each other when we leave the service.#veterans #militaryrecruitment #veteranshelpingveterans
