Security Tips for Subscribers
- To ensure that you are communicating directly with Emirates Islamic on WhatsApp, please save "+971 600 599995" as a contact and only interact with this number for banking services via WhatsApp. You can also look for the green badge next to the contact name “Emirates Islamic”, which confirms that this is a verified business account.
- Data transfer happens via a secure channel between your device, WhatsApp and Emirates Islamic. The information is encrypted and cannot be seen by anyone.
- Emirates Islamic will never ask you to share your personal information or account/ card numbers via WhatsApp. Depending on your enquiry, you will be asked to input only the last 4 digits of your card or account number. If someone does ask you for it, they do not represent the Bank and you should not under any circ*mstance provide this information.
- Do not reply to WhatsApp messages that request your personal information. They may appear to come from a trusted friend or business, but they are designed to trick you into disclosing sensitive personal information.
- You can only subscribe to Emirates Islamic Chat Banking via your registered mobile number with the bank. The same number must be used in WhatsApp.
- Lock your mobile device when not in use to prevent unauthorized access to your information.
- Never share your device.
- Activate your SIM card with a PIN.
- Enable WhatsApp Two-Step Verification under Settings/ Account/ Two-Step Verification: with any attempt to verify your mobile number on WhatsApp must be accompanied by a 6-digit PIN you create.

Please ensure to use the same mobile number registered with us. If you've changed the mobile number recently, please update it via Mobile Banking App and then register for WhatsApp Banking.

Emirates Islamic will never ask you to share your personal information via WhatsApp. This includes your full card or account number, CVV, credit card expiry date, PIN, OTP, Mobile Banking or Online Banking ID, password, and so on.
You can just start a new conversation again. To do this, you need to have Emirates Islamic’s number 600599995 in your contact list.
Yes, WhatsApp Banking is available in English and Arabic. You can change the preferred language from “Profile Settings” menu.
No, we request you to be patient with us and wait till the WhatsApp Banking chat agent closes the conversation with you before initiating new services.
No, please do not turn on the disappearing message feature as WhatsApp does not support automated business interaction while this feature is on. So, please make sure that you have switched off this feature.
If you lose your phone or if it falls into the wrong hands, please call 600599995 and report it to us immediately.
Always lock your mobile device when not in use and activate your SIM card with a PIN in addition to enabling WhatsApp's 2-step verification. WhatsApp 2-step verification adds additional security to your account with a 6-digit PIN you create. Once this is enabled, any attempt to verify your phone number on WhatsApp, when changing phones or swapping SIM cards, for example, can't be completed without the PIN.
