I live in Europe and I'm going to buy an apple watch series 2 in the US. Will my apple watch handle the 220V if I use an apple watch charger bought in Europe with a European plug without a power converter?

Apple's chargers run on any voltage from 100 to 240 volts, so 220 is not a problem.

Apple USB Power Adapters support input voltages from 100V to 240V, as specified on the adapters:
US: http://www.apple.com/power-adapters/
UK: http://www.apple.com/uk/power-adapters/
Germany (for example): http://www.apple.com/de/power-adapters/
Any of these adapters can also be used with a travel adapter in a different country.
