After you set up your security verification methods for your work or school account, you can update the related details.
Using the Security info page
If your organization provided you with specific steps about how to turn on and manage your two-factor verification, you should follow those instructions first. Otherwise, you can get to your security verification method settings from theSecurity infopage.
Note:If what you're seeing on your screen doesn't match what's being covered in this article, it means that your organization provides your own custom portal. For more information, contact your organization's Help desk.
Note:For information about using theApp passwordssection of theAdditional security verificationpage, seeManage app passwords for two-factor verification. App passwords should be used only for apps that don't support two-factor verification.

Turn on two-factor verification prompts on a trusted device
Depending on your organization's settings, you may see a check box that says "Don't ask again for n days" when you perform two-factor verification. If you've selected this option to stop two-factor verification prompts, and then you lose your device or your device is potentially compromised, you should have Microsoft 365 sign you out of all your devices to help protect your account. Unfortunately, you can't sign out of a specific device unless you have access to that device, so you need to sign out of all of them at once.
The next time you sign in you'll be prompted once again for your two-factor verification, as a safety measure.
From theAdditional security verificationpage, select Sign out everywhere. The next time you sign in on any device, you'll be prompted to perform two-factor verification.
Without setting up 2-step verification, hackers could get into your account if they figured out your password. With 2-step verification enabled, they would need the password and physical control of your phone, your wallet or purse, or your actual computer.
First, open your device's Settings app, then head to Google, then Google Account. There, tap Security. You'll find a section labeled “2-Step Verification,” which may prompt you to sign into your Google account. There's a button there to “Turn off,” and you'll need to confirm your choice after tapping it.
Verify your account using the verification code from your old device or by using a backup code. Click Account security from the drop-down menu under your name (in the top right of My Account) to open the Account security page. Click Change to email authentication or Change 2FA.
Google might have marked your IP address as suspicious, which is why you are getting authentication request frequently. Changing your IP address might help as well. Most users have a dynamic IP address, which isn't hard to switch.
If you're already using two-factor authentication with your Apple ID, you can't turn it off. If you updated to two-factor authentication inadvertently, you can turn it off within two weeks of enrollment. If you do, your account is less secure and you can't use features that require a higher level of security.
If you don't have a trusted device handy, you can have a verification code sent to your trusted phone number as a text message or phone call. Click Didn't get a verification code on the sign in screen. Choose to have the code sent to your trusted phone number.
