Use Login Password settings to change the password you use to log in to your Mac.
To change these settings, choose Apple menu >System Settings, then click Login Password in the sidebar. (You may need to scroll down.)
Note: If your Mac or Magic Keyboard has Touch ID, see .

A login password has been set for this user | Click Change to change the login password and password hint for the current user. While changing the password, you can use the Password Assistant to help you select a secure password. Click next to the New Password field. See Tips for creating secure passwords. |
