Caravan Guard crowned top motorhome insurance provider for 2023

We’re thrilled to have been crowned winners of What Motorhome magazine’s Insurance Provider of the Year 2023!

The magazine’s editors chose Caravan Guard as “a clear winner…because of its keen pricing and feature-laden policy, which is one of the cheapest around, despite the fact that it comes with UK breakdown cover as standard.”

What Motorhome surveyed 11 motorhome insurance providers, and analysed the features and benefits of the major specialist motorhome insurance policies on the market, against the cost of their premiums.

It’s the third time Caravan Guard has won this annual survey, having been highly commended many times before, and scooping the title in 2020 and 2021. We were also voted as Best Motorhome Insurance Provider by customers in the Insurance Choice Awards 2022.

When choosing us as the winner, What Motorhome said our policy was “one of the cheapest around”. Editors highlighted that we were one of the only providers to offer UK breakdown cover as standard and that “most rivals are more costly, even though they generally don’t include vehicle recovery”. They also highlighted our generous claims limits, with our excess starting at £150*.

Other cover benefits include unlimited windscreen cover, a £1,000 limit for replacement locks, a high personal injury benefit of £15,000, plus legal cover.
