Hi everyone,
Yes, I’ve been procrastinating. I find Windows Mail has been pretty easy. I started trying to learn Gmail, and it’s a lot for this old lady to learn. So, I tried switching to the new Outlook—only I went to the wrong place online, or they expect me to add a new email address. I don’t want to do that. Is there another way? Or did I go to the wrong location to upgrade to the new Outlook?
Any other suggestions?
Thanks for any help.

Hi Shirley,
If you are using the outlook that is part of Microsoft Office, it is like all mail clients, you can add multiple email accounts into it.
I would suspect that you can use the on-line one without using an outlook email account, but if you are using the on-line outlook, you will need to create an account with Microsoft to do that.

Yes. Outlook for Windows Preview, which will become Outlook for Windows in January 2024, is the direct replacement for the Windows Mail, People, and Calendar Apps.
You should have a toggle already in the Mail App itself that lets you switch to the Outlook for Windows Preview interface. But, in the experimentation I've just done, that toggle does not appear to be accessible, though the one in the Outlook (desktop) Preview was using ALT + T.
Note that Outlook for Windows has nothing whatsoever to do with the standalone Outlook desktop app such as Outlook 2021 and Outlook 365.

Thank you. I thought I was probably looking at the wrong one. And I used to get a button for the Outlook for Windows, but no more. At least I’m now on the right track.
Thanks again to all who responded.
