The White Lotus season 1 features a terrible husband named Shane (Jake Lacy), while The White Lotus season 2 features a terrible husband named Cameron - but which one is worse? Although both characters are also surrounded by terrible people, both Shane and Cameron stand out as the worst of their respective seasons, with the two being inconsiderate, inappropriate, and incredibly hateable. However, only one of the two can be the worst, leading to an inevitable competition as to who is the worst character in The White Lotus between Shane and Cameron.
Each season of The White Lotus follows a colorful cast of rich Americans as they travel to one of the titular White Lotus resorts - but not everyone survives. In The White Lotus season 1, Shane is a wealthy mama's boy who travels to The White Lotus' Hawaii resort on his honeymoon with his wife, Rachel. Shane is inconsiderate towards Rachel's feelings as well as the resort staff, driving some of its employees to madness. In The White Lotus season 2, Cameron travels to The White Lotus' Sicilian resort with his wife Daphne, but he clearly has some dark ulterior motives that suggest he is the worst of the two.

Why Cameron Is The Worst White Lotus Character
Although both Shane and Cameron could be considered the villains of their respective seasons, Cameron ends up being much worse. Cameron is a self-proclaimed master manipulator, using his charm and wit to control people. Cameron's business ties are also incredibly shady, with his wife highlighting the danger of his partners. Cameron has been sexually aggressive towards Harper - another guest at the resort in The White Lotus season 2 - getting naked in front of her and getting too close for comfort. Cameron has even manipulated Harper's husband, Ethan, into cheating on her. On top of all this, Daphne has even alluded that Cameron has violent tendencies, hinting that he could be even more dangerous than he seems.
While Shane is cruel, he's nowhere near as bad as Cameron. While the season 1 character was pretty selfish and seemed to think that his wealth made him better than everyone else, these are mostly products of his privileged upbringing. While Shane did kill the hotel concierge, Armond, it was an accident, considering Armond had broken into Shane's room. Compared to Cameron's manipulation, violence, and harassment, Shane isn't even in the same ballpark.
Could Cameron Be Killed End Of The White Lotus Season 2?
Although Cameron is violent, it seems likely that he will be one of the victims at the end of The White Lotus season 2. The first episode of season 2 set up that several dead bodies are found in the water one week after the guests' arrival in Sicily. The White Lotus season 2 has shown several shots of Cameron underwater, possibly hinting that he could be one of the drowned bodies seen in the first episode. The White Lotus season 2's victims are still unknown, but it would seem too obvious to have the jerk husband be the killer again, making Cameron's status as a victim far more likely.
