BulletVPNhas good security features, fast speeds for browsing, streaming, and torrenting, and easy-to-use apps for all of the major platforms.
BulletVPN protects user data with industry-standard VPN security features like 256-bit AES encryption and a kill switch. It also includes extras like Bullet Shield (which only allows you to connect to the internet if youâre connected to a BulletVPN server) and split tunneling. Whatâs more, BulletVPN works with most of the top streaming sites, including Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime (but it isnât compatible with Disney+). And it supports torrenting on all of its servers.
However, BulletVPN has some flawsthat I canât overlook. It lacks advanced security features like RAM-only servers (stores your data on memory instead of a hard drive, so all of your information is wiped each time the system is rebooted) and perfect forward secrecy (changes your encryption key to prevent hackers from accessing past and future keys). Its no-logs policy hasnât been independently audited, itâs missing extras such as an ad blocker, and it doesnât have obfuscation. In addition, some of its pricing plans are expensive, and thereâs no live chat support.
BulletVPN allows up to 6connections with a single account, offers monthlyand yearly plans, and covers each purchase with a 30-day money-back guarantee.
Overall, BulletVPN is a pretty good VPN for all of your online activities, but I still believe there are many other providers that offer a much better value, like ExpressVPN, which is my no. 1 pick.

BulletVPNFull Review
I spent the last couple of weeks researching and testing BulletVPN to see how it compares to the top VPN on the market in 2024.
What impressed me the most was BulletVPN streaming support â it works with most of the top streaming services, has fast speeds (including UltraHD servers in 6 countries that are optimized for watching content in 4K), servers in 55 countries around the world, and comes with a smart DNS that works on devices that typically donât have an app for VPNs.
However, some of BulletVPNâs plans are a bit pricey, and itâs missing some advanced security features that I expect from a top VPN.
Overall, BulletVPN is pretty good for all of your online activities, but to be honest, it still falls short of being a highly-rated VPN.
BulletVPN Features
BulletVPN allows you to choose from multiple protocols, including WireGuard, OpenVPN, IKEv2, and IPSec. I got the best speeds with WireGuard, which is one of the fastest protocols out there.
BulletVPN also comes with some extra features like:
- Split-tunneling. This feature allows you to pick which apps use the VPN on Windows and Android. Thereâs also Inverted Mode which excludes your chosen apps from the VPN tunnel. In my tests, BulletVPNâs split-tunneling feature worked perfectly and was easy to use. I watched a video on YouTube while connected to my local network and downloaded a file while connected to the VPN.
- Bullet Shield. This feature is like an advanced kill switch When enabled, youâre only able to access the internet while connected to BulletVPNâs servers.
- Always-On. This feature automatically connects your device to the VPN if it boots without any user interaction.
- IP Address Checker. This tool allows you to check if your IP address is leaking straight from the app.
BulletVPNPrivacy & Security
BulletVPN has a strict privacy policy â it doesnât log your IP address, your online traffic, your bandwidth, or your timestamps. However, Iâm not a fan of how BulletVPN hasnât conducted an independent audit to confirm its no-logs policy. I hope BulletVPN takes this action so itâs more aligned with top VPNs like ExpressVPN and Private Internet Access, which each have conducted multiple audits.
BulletVPN is based in Estonia, which isnât a part of the 5/9/14 Eyes Alliance(a group of countries that share surveillance data with each other).
Overall, BulletVPN keeps minimal records of your personal data and is headquartered in a privacy-friendly nation.
BulletVPNSpeed & Performance
I conducted speed tests on servers in all 55 countries where BulletVPN has a server to determine its average speeds. I had extremely fast speeds on local servers and decent speeds on distant servers â overall, my average speed loss was approximately 48%, which is above average.
First, I ran a speed test without being connected to a VPN server to get a baseline for my internet connection speeds.
Then, I used BulletVPNâs Quick Connect feature, which connects you to the fastest server based on your location â I was connected to a local server in the US.
Now, here are my speeds when connected to a distant server in the UK.
When connected to a local server in the US, my speeds decreased by only 7%. Websites instantly loaded, HD videos started right away and there was no buffering, and I downloaded a 20 GB file in around 20 minutes.
When connected to distant servers in Europe, Asia, and Australia, I had an average slowdown of 80%.Despite the significant increase in speed loss, I still had decent speeds â websites and HD videos took 3-5 seconds to load, and I experienced minimal lag or buffering while browsing and torrenting.
Overall, BulletVPN maintains super-fast speeds on local servers and decent speeds on distant servers.
BulletVPNServers & IP Addresses
BulletVPN has 150+ servers in 55 countries, which is a medium-sized server network. Other top VPN providers have much larger server networks â for example, CyberGhost VPN has servers in 100 countries, and ExpressVPN has servers in 105 countries. However, BulletVPN has servers evenly spread out across the world, including in the Middle East and Africa, so most users can still find a nearby server to get the fastest speeds.
If youâre looking for servers that are fast enough for streaming 4K videos, BulletVPN offers UltraHD servers. Located in 6 countries (Germany, France, the Netherlands, the UK, the US, and Canada), these servers are designed to help you watch 4K content without any buffering. However, any of BulletVPNâs local servers provided me with fast speeds for uninterrupted streaming in HD.
I like how BulletVPN allows torrenting on all of its servers. Some VPNs like NordVPNonly allow P2P sharing in certain countries.
Overall, BulletVPN has a pretty good server network that allows most people to find a local server, offers UltraHD servers for maximizing speeds, and supports torrenting on all servers.
BulletVPN Streaming & Torrenting
BulletVPN is good for streaming â it works with top sites like Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, and BBC iPlayer. However, it doesnât work with Disney+.
If youâre looking for the absolute best streaming VPN, I recommend ExpressVPNâ itâs ranked #1 on our list of the best streaming VPNs,it works with 100+ streaming sites, it has blazing-fast speeds across all servers, and itâs easy to use.
BulletVPN is also pretty good for torrenting.Along with supporting P2P traffic on all of its servers, it works with all of the top torrenting clients like BitTorrent and Vuze.
However, there are still better VPNs for torrentingâ my favorite is ExpressVPN because it allows torrenting on servers in 105 countries, has lightning-fast speeds, and its no-logs policy has been independently confirmed multiple times.
Overall, BulletVPN is a good option for streaming and supports P2P traffic on all of its servers.
BulletVPNPlans & Pricing
BulletVPN offers paid monthly and yearly plans that start at $2.49 / monthand allows 6 connections. However,it doesnât provide as much value compared to other top VPNs on the market like ExpressVPN, Private Internet Access, and CyberGhost VPNâ all of these come with better security features, include better extra features, maintain faster speeds, and have servers located in more countries.
BulletVPN accepts credit cards, PayPal, and Bitcoin and backs each plan with a 30-day money-back guarantee.
BulletVPNEase of Use: Mobile & Desktop Apps
BulletVPN has easy-to-use apps for iOS, Android, Windows, macOS, and Fire Stick devices. Plus, I like how BulletVPN offers smart DNS, a feature that lets you use it on devices that donât support VPNs like certain smart TVs and gaming consoles.
I installed BulletVPNâs app on my Android smartphone and iPhone in just 1 minute, and the process took 2 minutes on my Windows laptop and MacBook Pro.
BulletVPNâs mobile apps are very intuitive and user-friendly.I really like the Quick Connect feature and how BulletVPN makes it very simple to manually connect to a server â countries are listed in alphabetical order, and thereâs a most recent server option, as well as a search bar. Whether youâre a beginner or an advanced user, youâll find BulletVPNâs apps are easy to navigate.
And since BulletVPNâs desktop apps are very similar to the mobile apps, theyâre also intuitive. The Windows and Mac apps come with most of the same features as the Android and iOS apps.
Overall, BulletVPN has very intuitive mobile and desktopapps. Theyâre user-friendly, very easy to set up and use, and have quick and easy connection options.
BulletVPN Customer Support
BulletVPN has good customer supportâ it offers helpful and responsive email support, along with troubleshooting guides and frequently asked questions (FAQs).
However, I was disappointed to see that BulletVPN doesnât offer any live chat support. Instead, you must submit an email form through the website or app in order to contact support. When I emailed BulletVPN, I received a reply within just a couple of hours, which is on par with top VPNs like ExpressVPN. BulletVPNâs email support team was also extremely thorough in their replies.
I found BulletVPNâs help center very extensive, and it includes many helpful troubleshooting/set up guides and the FAQs answered most of my questions.
Even though it doesnât have a live chat option, BulletVPNâs customer support is impressive with good email support and comprehensive troubleshooting guides and FAQs.
