Ranks in Brawlhalla
There are five major ranks in Brawlhalla:
- Tin – 200 – 909 Elo
- Bronze – 872 – 1129 Elo
- Silver – 1086 – 1389 Elo
- Gold – 1338 – 1679 Elo
- Platinum – 1622 – 1999 Elo
- Diamond – 2000+ Elo (You cannot derank out of Diamond)
- Valhallan – Be on the top of the region and win 100+ matches
Players start their ranked journey in Brawlhalla at Tin and can reach Diamond by winning 1v1 or 2v2 matches on randomly selected realms. Each rank has five stages (0-5) and you progress through them by increasing the Elo rating.
A ranked season in Brawlhalla lasts for 10-14 weeks. At the end of it, there’s a rank reset and all players get Glory according to their performance.
You get 20 Glory for each win but this amount decreases once you accumulate 3000 glory (technically, 150 wins).

There’s an overlap in Elo requirements for each rank above because every Brawlhalla rank has a derank threshold as Tier 0. This means that you won’t derank from Platinum to Gold on reaching 1679 Elo. 1622-1679 is Platinum rank’s Tier 0 and you will derank only after reaching 1622.
What is Elo in Brawlhalla?
Elo is a numerical estimate of your skill in Brawlhalla. Your Elo increases when you win matches and decreases following losses. The amount of Elo gained or lost depends on the Elo of your opponents. For instance, defeating someone with Elo higher than you will grant you more Elo than defeating someone with Elo lower than you.
Apart from an overall player Elo, Brawlhalla also has a separate Elo for legends. It determines your skill level with certain legends and plays a major role in matchmaking. Even if your overall Elo is high, you’ll be placed with easier opponents if your Elo with the selected legend is low.

It is almost impossible to remain in Tin in Brawlhalla, as it requires you to lose a ton of Elo. The casual player base usually makes it to Bronze and Silver with some practice, but here are some tips to reach Gold, Platinum, and eventually, Diamond:
- Learn all combos of your ‘main’ legend once you reach Silver. Watch pros and skilled creators to understand the viability of combos in real matches.
- It is important to hit, but more important to not get hit.
- Do not focus on too many legends at the same time. Find a few that suit your playstyle and master them. Switching legends between a rank push can be disadvantageous.
- Pick a weapon that you find best and focus on mastering it.
- Incorporate mobility moves like dashes and jump dashes in your gameplay.
- Find a Camera angle that is most comfortable for you.
