The retirement age of teachers can be increased by 3 years by the Uttar Pradesh government. Presently there is a demand to increase the retirement age of teachers from 62 to 65 years. A meeting was scheduled with Higher Education Minister Yogendra Upadhyay of various teacher and employee organizations of Mataji’s state, Principal Council. It will also demand a uniform fee and gratuity. Employee organizations can also discuss in detail with the Higher Education Minister on the old pension scheme. Akhilesh Kumar Mishra, Special Secretary, Higher Education said that the meeting will be held in the main building of the secretariat from 1:00 pm.
