Allianz Travel insures more than 55 million people annually, from families taking their once-a-year vacation to business executives crisscrossing the globe year-round. The company has 10 different policies to choose from, including a standalone car rental plan. Most policyholders making claims say that the reimbursem*nt process goes smoothly with Allianz, though some experience long delays. While you'll get a wider range of travel insurance options with some rival companies, Allianz can be trusted to get the job done.

They guarantee that you won't find a lower price on the same policy anywhere else. This company has a perfect score with the BBB, but there's not much customer feedback to consider. QuoteWright isn't a bad option for getting travel insurance, but there are other referral services we prefer.

From the name, it's easy to guess that World Nomads is geared towards globetrotters: remote workers signing on from the beach or the mountains, backpackers taking that once-in-a-lifetime adventure, and so on. In theory, that's fantastic - but in practice, customers say that they couldn't count on World Nomads to deliver when it was time to make a claim. We recommend that you look at other sources of non-traditional travel insurance before getting a policy through World Nomads.
