Assassin's Creed Valhalla has a plethora of armaments to choose from, which often feel and look decidedly different, making it difficult to choose just whichones might be the best weapons overall. Combined with numerous options as far as Perks go, it only gets more complicated.
Despite this variety in weapons,AC Valhallahas made fans angry with Ubisoftdue toa variety of development choices, from monetization to endgame content and gameplay. It's a shame that some of these issues have at times overshadowed much of what makes the game special, andAC Valhalla's best weaponsare often at theforefront of discussions around the game's mechanics.

Not every weapon can be considered the best, of course, and opinions will naturally vary depending on what a player prefers and needs at any given time. The below weapons, however, can be used in a wide variety of circ*mstances reliably, offering some of the best and most reliable weapons inAC Valhalla overall. There are other options which may suit in a given scenario, but these are safe bets that should help just about anyone up their game.
#6 - Assassin's Creed Valhalla's Spinning-Death Is Its Best Flail
InAssassin's Creed Valhalla's extensive list of weapons, a good rule of thumb is "when in doubt, if it's got Death in the title, it's probably pretty decent." That said, the Spinning-Death flail is arguably the best flail in the game simply because of its speed, which allows for attack combos to get to the good part more quickly, as wind-up can be a bit of a problem with this weapon type. Adding to that strength is the weapon's Perk, which allows for a Heavy Finisher to drop a Fire Bomb with a 40% chance ofactivation. The odds are already significant, so coupled with the weapon's speed, fans of the flail will be hard-pressed to find a better option than the aptly named Spinning-Death. While there are other weapons that are ultimately "better", this one packs a punch and should satisfy those who enjoy swinging weapons of this type, especially when dual-wielding.
#5 Firebug AC Valhalla Fans Will Want To Set The Surtr Sword Alight
Assassin's Creed Valhalla'sSurtr Sword is one of its best weapons because its Perk is easy to combo with the Fire Strike ability for massive sustained attack. True to the mythical figure who gives it its name, this fire-based weapon is a hot commodity for anyone with a penchant for setting things ablaze. With a Perk that grants the two-handed sword a +30 attack bonus when the weapon is ignited, any player that's already invested heavily inFire Strike (acquired through the Hidden Ones Bureau) will find that not only does the weapon work decently on its own plus getting the benefit of even more damage, it can also setenemies on fire when lit up, whichin turn keeps enemies from reliably attacking. Thisoffers considerably more breathing room when many enemies are present, making the Sutr Sword/Fire Strike combo a hard one to pass up, as itprovides both raw damage and flexibility.
#4 - Death-Speaker Is A Unique AC Valhalla Bow With A Killer Perk
Hunter Bows are arguably the best bows inAssassin's Creed Valhalla, not requiring exploitsor anything fancy to find, largely because of their high single-target damage. This is improved using the Charged Shot ability, which pairs beautifully with this particular bow. But while the Death-Speaker's stats aren't bad, it really comes into its own because of its Perk, which allows players who enjoy sharpshooting to hit enemy weak points to restore health.

On the whole, this is what makes the weapon worth its weight in gold, as healing 25% for a single weak point hit is not only a lot of health,AC Valhalla already has relatively few ways to regain health outside of using healing items. There are other bows that may outclass this one in various ways, but as an all-around useful bow for almost any build, Death-Speaker is hard to beat.
#3 - Excalibur Brings English Myth (& AOE Attacks) To AC Valhalla
Excalibur, sword of English myth inAC Valhalla, is one of the better two-handed swords almost purely because of its Perk. While this is generally a slightly inferior sword compared to the Sutr Sword, what makes it worthwhile is the fact that its Perk cannot be found anywhere else in the game, as there are no Runes that provide the same effect. In addition to this, it's an area-of-effect blast, something extremely rare inAC Valhalla generally. The sword itself may be a little more straightforward and a little less fun to use than other weapons, but especially after Rune upgrades, this AOE attack on a Heavy Finisher or Critical goes a long way toward reducing stun bars and generally causing havoc among groups of enemies, which leads to further opportunities for Stun Attacks. The only real downside of the sword is that it takes some effort to get, usually making a guide to finding Excalibur's location inAC Valhalla a necessary prerequisite.
#2 - Nothing Reaches Farther Than Assassin's Creed Valhalla's Gungnir
This spear is notable for having the longest range of any spear in the game, which automatically puts it in contention for best spear. Even better, the final hit of the Light Attack combo is a big areaspin attack. Without this, it would still be useful for its range, but its doubly strong with the large circular sweepgiven how easily it can be used to keep enemies at bay and hit them at safe distances. Its strength does, like Excalibur, come at the cost of accessibility, however, as the spear can't be found until most of the game's story is complete, making itmore of an aspirational weapon for newer players rather than anything they can quickly get their hands on.
#1 - Mjolnir Is The Clear Winner As Assassin's Creed Valhalla's Best Weapon
If Stun is one of the better Perks (and it is), then it's hard to argue that anything is better than finding Mjolnir in Assassin's Creed Valhalla. This powerful weapon strikes hard and also has a chance to stun not only the target but all enemies in the immediate vicinity, and at better than a 30% chance on a normal hit (and a guarantee on a Finisher), this weapon literally shakes the earth on which enemies stand. It's a sure-fire way to make enemies tremble, with effects that - as you'd naturally expect - get even better with Thor's armor set. It's offset by the fact that it requires close combat, which keeps it from feeling completely unbalanced, and it can't be found until the end of the game.
While different combinations of builds and player preferences will undoubtedly dictate exactly whatAC Valhalla's best weapons truly are, these are reliable choices that are hard to argue with under most circ*mstances. They can be enhanced with specific builds (despiteAssassin's Creed Valhalla's general lack of build diversity) and options, but should generally be punchy and powerful right out of the gate.
