Playing games was 65-70c and max at 75c. Is this the normal temp for this card? Powercolor brand. If i run the fan manually.. can under 40 on light task. |

No it's not normal On normal hot days, the idle temperature of my RX 580 is only 38°C ~ 42°C Yes during high load temperatures can go up to 75°C ~ 80°C At one point, I even used 2 units of the same model in CrossFire. Though the idle temperatures is a tad higher, they still never reach 50°C It's all about the placement of your CPU, the airflow inside the case & the airflow of your room And no, my computer room is not air-conditioned This post has been edited by sHawTY: Sep 18 2019, 07:53 PM |

Sorry for the confusion I set the fan to run at 20% when the temperatures goes above 35°C & 100% if the temperatures goes above 65°C Did that to make my card last longer. Electronic parts last longer when they run cooler This post has been edited by sHawTY: Sep 18 2019, 09:26 PM |

Electronic parts last longer when they run cooler Your electronic will last longer but your fans will die sooner if you keep them running 100% most of the time. 😁 |

Because Will like to keep it 40 or below. So far doing that now, but that's in windows. I think by the time the fan kaput. maybe time to change GPU? I also run hackintosh. So far haven't found any software can monitor temp and set fan.. |
