How to farm ancient cobalt armor in Terraria? ›

Ancient Cobalt armor is an armor set obtained from Hornets and Man Eaters in the Underground Jungle. Each piece is dropped individually with a 1/300 (0.33%) chance.

Cobalt Armor is a tier above Molten Armor, but a tier below Mythril Armor, making it the weakest Hardmode Armor excluding Pearlwood Armor.

A full set also grants a total of +3% critical hit chance and +10% movement speed / +3% damage, +5% critical hit chance and +10% movement speed, from its individual pieces. Wearing a full set causes the player to display an after-image effect while in motion, similar to the Ninja armor, Shadow armor, and Necro armor.

Palladium, Orichalcum, and Titanium sets are typically preferred over Cobalt, Mythril, and Adamantite, but alternatives have been listed for players whose worlds contain Adamantite.

Palladium Ore may generate in place of Cobalt Ore. It is slightly more valuable, and the tools and weapons it crafts have slightly better stats.

The Dragon Armor is one of the three console-exclusive armor sets and the Warrior counterpart to the Spectral Armor and Titan Armor. It is the 2nd strongest armor set for melee behind the Chlorophyte Armor melee set.

Ancient Proficiency is a Set Bonus of the Ancient Set which can be unlocked after Upgrading all pieces of the Ancient Set at least twice by a Great Fairy. Ancient Proficiency increases the damage Link does by 80% when he is using Guardian Gear or equipment sold by the Ancient Oven.

While Adamantite armor might be chosen because it provides higher offensive stats than Titanium armor, it does not provide the highest offensive stats available.

More Cobalt Ore will spawn for every third altar broken after the first. Cobalt Ore, like all hardmode ores, cannot be broken by explosives. This ore cannot be obtained legitimately prior to killing the Wall of Flesh. Cobalt Ore is a weaker alternative to Palladium.

The Ancient Cobalt Leggings is a very rare piece of armor dropped by Hornets, Man Eaters and Spiked Jungle Slimes.

The Best Location to Mine Cobalt Ore

There are three primary zones stand out for Cobalt Ore farming: Howling Fjord, Borean Tundra, and Zul'Drak. These zones have a lot of node, and a high respawn rate which ensures Cobalt Ore in sufficient quantity for miners.
