The Academy allows a playerto Research Technology to increase their Turf's Might.Research allows playersto unlock advanced military troops, traps, and other defenses. Research can also help reduce construction time and can allow more resources to be gathered at a faster pace.
The Academy is a permanent building, meaning that once it has been built in a player'sTurf, it cannot be demolished.
Upgrade the Academy to reduce research time. Some technologies also require a higher Academy level.

While only Castle, Castle Wall, Watchtower, Vault, Battle Hall, Altar, Trading Post, and Infirmary are listed as requirements for Academy Lv25, the player is actually required to upgrade one of every building in the game to Lv25 (excluding Treasure Trove and Familiar buildings) because they require unlisted buildings:
- Castle Wall Lv25 requires Workshop Lv25.
- Workshop Lv25 requires Mine Lv25.
- Watchtower Lv25 and Infirmary Lv25 requires Barrack Lv25.
- Battle Hall Lv25 requires a total of 20,000 War Tomes, as well as Embassy Lv25.
- Barracks Lv25 and Embassy Lv25 requires Quarry Lv25.
- Altar Lv25 requires a total of 20,000 Soul Crystals, as well as Prison Lv25.
- Prison Lv25 requires a total of 20,000 Steel Cuffs, as well as Manor Lv25.
- Manor Lv25 requires Farm Lv25 and Lumber Mill Lv25.
- Additionally, upgrading each building to Lv25 requires one Gold Hammer, so at least 18 Gold Hammers are required to get Academy Lv25.
