Our goal is to make it easy for licensed agents and brokers to place business with us. No prior appointment or agreement is necessary to submit applications for a quote. Upon binding the first account, producers are required to submit proper licensing documentation and Errors & Omissions coverage verification through the Unified Producer Agreement.
How we operate
K&K Insurance Group is a subsidiary of Aon, plc and employs more than 250 people dedicated to sports, leisure, and entertainment insurance in its headquarters in Fort Wayne, IN. The company pays commission to agents and offers over 80 specialty programs.
As one of the largest Managing General Underwriters in the United States, we perform a variety of traditional insurance company functions on behalf of the insurance companies we represent, allowing us to provide exceptional service in sales, marketing, underwriting, loss control and claims resolution.

Our History
K&K’s story began in 1948 when Fort Wayne, IN businessman, Nord Krauskopf, found himself in the driver’s seat in the world of stock-car racing. At the time, the only insurance for this high-risk sport consisted of individual racers contributing to a fund that would help cover the costs in the event of an accident. Nord and his wife Teddi Krauskopf embraced this unique opportunity to fill a much-needed void and pitched a plan to create specialized insurance for race car drivers to Lloyd’s of London. And in 1952, K&K Insurance was born. Their dedication to motorsports eventually resulted in winning the Grand National Championship in 1970; the team was led by legendary driver Bobby Isaac and Crew Chief Harry Hyde. And the rest, as they say, is history.
