This post presents seven ways you can increase your mining rate on Pi Network and get or earn more Pi coins which, at the time of writing, was valued around $30 by reputable exchanges and listing such as Binance and Coinbase, and Coinmarketcap, respectively, including a number of other sites: the Value/Price of Pi Coin in USD on 12 Major Sites.
For the benefit of people or readers who are either, not on Pi Network, or joined the network but have stopped mining free Pi coins, it may be important to state here and now that it’s not too late to start or continue mining free Pi coins and increase your mining rate to get or earn more Pi coins. (Download the Pi App here, register on the Pi Network by using your Facebook account or phone number, and enter/use Terihagh1 as your invitation or referral code. Alternatively, click here and take 9 steps under the heading “How to start mining Pi coins and have them migrated/transferred to your wallet on Pi Mainnet”.)
Pi Network has a mining mechanism that provides opportunities for you to increase your mining rate and get more free Pi coins: The more contributions you make to the network in a number of different ways, the more your mining rate will increase, and the more Pi coins you will get or earn.
You can use any or all of the following seven ways to increase your mining rate and get or earn more Pi coins or cryptocurrency:
1. Always mine—or mine without “leaving gaps”
It’s important to note that your mining of Pi coins will stop (along with all mining rewards) after your most recent mining session ends or is no longer active—i.e., after the end of a 24-hours mining session. Therefore, the only way to always mine or “mine without leaving gaps”—especially big gaps—is to put on your mining button immediately or at least shortly after every 24 hours of mining. The mining button is located exactly at the position of the mining rate icon or button—for example, see the position or location of 0.37 π/h mining rate of the Pi Network account shown below.
In case you may find it challenging to remember putting on your mining button after every 24 hours of mining, set your phone on alarm to ring after 24 hours of putting on your mining button. For example, if you notice that you put on your mining button by 2:28 PM today, then ensure that you set your phone alarm or app notification to ring by 2:28 PM tomorrow or the next day when the mining button would definitely stop or go off.

The alarm will certainly remind you, even if your phone is off; in addition, putting on the alarm at the right time would definitely place you in the best position to get, mine, or earn the maximum number of Pi coins you possibly can, before mining officially comes to an end after Pi Mainnet is launched or open to the public and exchanges.
2. Complete or boost your security circle to maximum 100%
Pi Network’s consensus algorithm relies on trust that is based on the connection between all members on a global level. Each Security Circle member who remains active adds a boost of 20% of the base rate of mining. Therefore, boost your mining rate by boosting or increasing your security circle to the maximum possible which is 100%. To boost your security circle, take a look at the top right side of your Pi Network App and tap on the second icon/button which is just below the Chat icon/button. Next, tap on Add More and add members from Add From Contacts or Add an Existing Pi User, respectively. You need to add at least five Pi users’ names to boost your security circle to maximum 100%, so you can get the maximum possible mining rate from a security circle of 100%.
3. Invite friends and family members to mine Pi coins
One of the main ways to increase your Referral Team rewards and mining rate, and get more Pi coins is by inviting people such as friends and family members and getting them registered. You can invite people to join your Referral Team by sending them your invitation code (which is your username on Pi Network). mining concurrently with friends and family members can increase your mining rate rewards, as each member who is mining concurrently with you would add a bonus of 25% (i.e., 0.25) of the base rate to your hourly mining rewards. For example, notice 35 Pioneers (out of 122-people Referral Team) mining concurrently with the owner of the Pi Network account shown below, thus making a contribution of 35 × 0.25 = 8.75.
There is no limit to the number of people you can invite and add to your Referral Team which Pi Network gives bonus for in recognition of your contribution to the growth of the network and the wide distribution of Pi coins.
4. Always use Referral Team Chat to remind your referrals to mine
Not all Pioneers mine consistently; in fact, many who don’t use any app notification or phone alarm can be reminded to mine via Referral Team, thereby increasing your chances of mining together and helping to maximize the concurrency of mining together, which can boosts your mining rate and get you more Pi coins. To go your Referral Team Chat, take a look at the top right side of your Pi Network App and tap on the third icon/button which is just below the Security Circle icon/button. Next, click on Referral Team Chat and send a message or reminder to mine without leaving gaps. You can also leave other important messages or information for your mining team.
5. Regularly use apps on the Pi Browser to increase your Utility Usage Bonus or App Usage rewards
Exploring or using specific apps that are on Pi Browser helps the network to build its ecosystem, boost your mining rate, and increase your Pi coins. The more you use the Pi browser, the more Utility Usage Bonus you will earn. So try to use it as much as you possibly can on a daily basis. To increase your utility usage bonus, click here to Download Pi Browser App (or go to your Pi Network App menu at the top left of the app, tap on Pi Browser, download the Pi Browser, and Sign in to Pi Browser), and use specific apps such as Chat, Wallet, Blockchain, Develop, and KYC .
Using especially the chat rooms is a great way to engage with many other Pioneers and increase your app usage rewards. See the utility usage bonus of 0.43 for the Pi Network account shown below.
6. Commit to lockup configuration or increase your current lockup commitment
Lockup commitment helps to stabilize the Pi ecosystem, especially when Pioneers decide to make a long term engagement. To Commit to lockup configuration, tap on the Mainnet Info button located at the bottom right of the home page of your Pi Network App.
Pi Network Introduces New “Lockup” Feature on Mainnet
Next, scroll down to Configure Lockup Rate and select a percentage and duration for the number of Pi coins you would like to lock up and the number of weeks, months, or years you’d like to keep them locked up. Ensure that you check the box beside the following words: Automatically lock up a portion of my Transferable Balance to Mainnet upon commitment. My π will continue to be locked up at this rate for future Mainnet transfers unless adjusted later.
Note that locking up a portion of your mined coins will boost or increase your mining rate in the next or subsequent mining sessions, and you can be able to adjust the lockup rate in the future. The higher your lockup percentage and lockup duration are, the more pi coins you will get or earn and the more your total pi coins will increase.
7. Run a Node on your computer to increase your Node Bonus Rewards
The Node Bonus rewards will be available for you if you run a node on your computer and it proves that it is reliable and accessible to Pi Network. To run a node on your computer, first download Pi Network App for computer and install it on your computer.
After installing Pi Network App, tap or click on Node (which is the icon beneath the mining rate button showing 0.38 π/h) and apply to run the Pi Node. Next, tap or click on Continue to follow the steps that are a must for installing necessary packages to set up your computer for testing as a node. The steps involve installing Docker and Opening router ports.
Notice the node bonus or reward of 14.10 for the Pi Network account shown in the screenshot below.
