Farha H — Google review

My visit to Stockholm Quality Outlet was a delightful mix of history and retail therapy. Stepping into this outlet felt like a journey through time, with its historical charm adding a unique touch to my shopping spree. Among the diverse stores, I found myself drawn to the Levi's store, appreciating the quality offerings they had. Whenever hunger struck, the food court offered a decent variety to recharge my energy levels. One thing that truly stood out was the inclusivity I noticed through the multilingual signboards, displaying information in English, Swedish, and Arabic. As someone who values cultural diversity, this thoughtful addition made me feel genuinely welcome and catered to. However, while the historical vibe and store options added to the charm, some might find the shopping choices limited or the layout slightly less convenient. Nonetheless, for me, the blend of history, a variety of stores, and the effort towards inclusivity through multilingual signage made Stockholm Quality Outlet a memorable spot for a unique shopping experience in Stockholm.

I keep coming back here on all of our Stockholm trips (1-3 times a year), so that means this is a pretty good shopping place. My favs include the ‘Bergans av Norway’, Adidas and Stadium outlets, but there’s plenty of other shops too.

Acest outlet este inca un loc unde gasesti produse de brand la preturi accesibile. Din pacate multe magazine s-au inchis. Locul de joaca amenajat pentru copii este foarte popular, locuri de parcare usor accesibile.(Translated by Google)This outlet is another place where you can find branded products at affordable prices. Akram R — Google review

Easy to get to from Stockholm, very cozy and convenient, however I can’t say that there is everything very cheap, in some places it’s just 20-40% off original price. It’s a great place to shop though, probably even better in warm weather. There are enough places to grab a bite and have coffee or hot chocolate when tired from all the choices.

Valeria A — Google review

It’s an open place with lots of brands available at this place. I purchased chocolate from Lindt chocolate located at this place.

A very, very cosy cafe with a room with simple decoration that makes us feel we belong there. Also, exterior tables, some with view to the lake (well... in Sweden, I struggle to know if I m standing in front of a sea, river, or lake ! 🤔)A small independent house selling ice creams (I didn't enter).I went to this Café already more than once. For cakes ! It's all very tasty.

Theme Parks

Child-friendly museum attraction where visitors learn about science through interactive experiments.

Excellent place - Fun + Learning.Science behind everyday things explained in various rides and interactive games.Superb place for young as well as old children and family - 2 to 12 years should have enough to explore.Staff are very kind and helpful.Lavatories are okay.Tip: One should consider buying summer pass to experience all the rides and games, as one visit may not suffice.First time travellers- if you are taking Bus from Sodertalje centrum, watch out for the correct direction. I had gone in the wrong direction before correcting myself after a stop :)

Chetan — Google review

A wonderful experience both for parents and kids. If your kids are on the younger side, this place is so interactive they still love it anyway. For older kids (and parents), it's nice to learn and relearn some physics and science concepts. There's indoor and outdoor areas, 4 floors of different exploration, cafes and eating area aplenty. We will be back for sureThere is plenty of parking behind the building, and seems like the turn over is high enough. Easypark app or pay meter on site.

Kien P — Google review

Nice and educative museum for kids. It’s really recommended to go on a weekday if possible, to have less of a crowd. However, slightly overpriced if going as a family. But very friendly staff and a nice learning day for kids (would recommend for the age of 7 and up, to fully understand the different elements and learn). But the kids can easily spend a full day and luckily there are a cafe and restaurant that fits all.

S M — Google review

I would definitely recommend visiting. Both fun and learning place. Definitely need at least 3-4 hours to explore.

Krystyna S — Google review

A place worth seeing. 4 floors filled with activities and experiments for both young and old. Adapted for both wheelchair and pram. Toilet adapted for the disabled and has a changing room. Nice restaurant with normal prices and an ice cream shop. Easy to get to by both train and bus. Easy to get a parking space.

Gosia O — Google review

It was a great place for my school-age kid to explore. But it was fun for me too. Making bubbles and the bubble show was fun and interesting. My son's favorites were probably the slide where one enters a huge mouth and the different screens where one can see himself as a colorful silhouette.

Santa K — Google review

Nice place to go with your children. I was there with my 11 year old daughter...She enjoyed the experiments very much

Maria K — Google review

This is a haven for kids to learn and have fun! Their most important rule was “don’t have your hands inside your pockets” meaning “explore everything!”. The children had a wonderful time here as did we!

Sudarshan G — Google review

We were there during the school break and it was lots of cars in the parking. The experiments were good and interesting and we liked it. About the disability parking, they just have two and it was full. It will be good to have more.. otherwise the facility was wheelchair friendly.

Ricky D — Google review

The best children museum I have ever been to! You can spend here the entire day, and still not to see everything. The cafeteria has a good verity of basic meals. Entree fee is a bit pricey but worth every penny. If you plan to come at least 3 times a year, you should buy the yearly subscription. We will definitely come back again and again!

Michael K — Google review

By far, the best entertainment park in Stockholm. Fun, crative, cool, entertaining, beautiful and very smartly planned. With lots and lots and lots of different, harder and easier, quieter and louder, fascinating stuff to do, touch, feel, jump on, ride on, walk and even fly on.. experiences! Our day in TTE was too short and simply Amazing! I cannot recommend enough!

A K — Google review

Fun place to visit with the kids, there are a lot of different experiments and you could easily spend a whole day there. We didn't really like the food in the café.

Eveli H — Google review

My kids loved this place. No joke, this was the highlight of the trip for them. In fact, I loved it too. The interactive exhibits were engaging and fun. I never thought my kids would have that much fun learning science. I really enjoyed the outdoor space and the exhibits included there. This is a must if have kids between 7 and 15 and are in the Stockholm area.

Tim — Google review

Really fun place for kids (and playful adults). It's also a great lunch buffé with desert included. They add and remove some experiments every year so if you haven't been here in a while you will see new stuff.Longer opening hours during the summer school holiday is extra good.

Matthias T — Google review

A simply awesome whole day experience for young kids and science-interested adults! The food in the restaurant perhaps leaves a bit to be desired but it's not bad and there are places to eat your own lunch if you prefer to bring your own.

Oscar S — Google review

It is our family's favorite museum. It is so fun, we love the bubbles and the bubble shows, anatomy section, building with magnets, kids love sending balls down this super long track and run to catch up, we love going through the dark room and testing our ability to use the other senses. The museum is full of tests of your mind and physical abilities.

Santa K — Google review

If you are into science experiments...this is the place 🤗😍. Both for adults and for kids. You can bring your own food or use the restaurant facilities at the place. Also, it would be advisable to bring change clothes for kids as there are also water sports💦🙌

Abongile M — Google review

Good place to take your kids every year. They would be able to relate what they learn in school.

Sourabh J — Google review

Its pretty nice place to spend a day with kids. There are many science experiments present both for kids and adults to get amazed.I would definitely recommend this place.

Pandey B — Google review

Well I was a bit skeptical at first but glad I took the kids, they loved every minute of it. The bubble show was interesting but wish they blew more bubbles, that's the kid in me talking 😂😂. With 4 floors trust me the kids will love it and you as an adult will find one or two things interesting too

Gamla Uppsala, situated outside Uppsala in Sweden, was a significant center for religion, politics and economy as early as the 3rd century AD. It is home to 300 burial mounds that date back from the 6th to the 12th centuries, including those of legendary pre-Viking kings such as Aun, Egil and Adils. Recent evidence suggests that one of the mounds belonged to a female regent.

Cathedral

Sights & Landmarks

Uppsala Cathedral is a majestic Gothic-style Lutheran place of worship that was consecrated in 1435. It is the largest and tallest church in Scandinavia, with soaring towers reaching a height of 119m. The interior boasts an imposing design, featuring a French Gothic ambulatory flanked by small chapels. The cathedral houses the tombs of notable figures such as St Erik, Gustav Vasa and Carl von Linne.

This is the best church or cathedral I have been so far. Such a majestic building from outside and inside. You can easily spend a few hours marvelling at the architecture and detailing. We happened to visit on a Sunday noon and got to have a glimpse as the service wrapped up.It's a truly awe-inspiring structure. Well worth the day trip from Stockholm.

Ritu R — Google review

Beautiful cathedral and awesome building that shows the historic construction of the past. It’s a symbol of Uppsala and Sweden due to its tremendous architecture that attracts the tourists. Located in the old town of Uppsala and easy to visit.

Maqbool K — Google review

One of Sweden's most beautiful churches. Free entrance, service every day at 12 (show respect, and don't film/take photos while they have service). You Lan easily spend at least one hour and still not see all.

Ronnie E — Google review

Refered as one of the largest cathedral in Sweden. It is regarded as heritage and iconic symbol. Nice architecture. It is nice to visit and look around. But, the guided tour is recommended if you have interest in history and really want to know more. Interesting facts:1. It was build with more than 50 Million bricks!2. The tower shapes were changed several times! By different architectures.3. When it was planned to build, it was planned to be a big one, not like other cathedral that was build then later expanded. Based on demand. It can accommodate 900 people at a time on the benches, but with additional chairs it can accommodate comfortably 2000 people at a time.4. Etc.. etc..Thanks for reading 📚🙏Visit around spring /summer/early fall, the city of uppsala is more beautiful then. 😍

Dr. M — Google review

Gorgeous brick work and impressive spires on the outside bring scope to the fantastic interior. Admission to the church is free, to see the great treasures that survived the fire in the 1700s, there is a cost. Recommend getting the guide book from the gift shop before wandering, as the free pamphlet only touches lightly on all the church has to offer for sight seeing.

Nathan R — Google review

It is a huge and magnificent cathedral. I enjoyed its grandiose architecture. It is very impressive. There are also runic stones located right by the cathedral. It is definitely worth visiting.

Joonas K — Google review

Uppsala Cathedral is impressive! It is located between the University Hall of Uppsala University and the Fyris river in the centre of Uppsala. It is the burial site of King Eric IX (c. 1120–1160, reigned 1156–1160), who became the patron saint of the nation, and it was the traditional location for the coronation of new Kings of Sweden. The cathedral dates to the late 13th century and, at a height of 118.7 metres, it is the tallest church in the Nordic countries. Originally built under Roman Catholicism, it was used for coronations of Swedish monarchs for a lengthy period following the Protestant Reformation. Several of its chapels were converted to house the tombs of Swedish monarchs, including Gustav Vasa and John III. Carl Linnaeus, Olaus Rudbeck, Emanuel Swedenborg, and several archbishops are also buried here. The church was designed in the French Gothic style by French architects including Étienne de Bonneuil. It is in the form of a cross formed by the nave and transept. Most of the structure was built between 1272 and 1420 but the western end was completed only in the middle of the 15th century. Twin towers were built shortly afterwards on the west end of the church. High spires were added later, but after a fire in 1702, they were adorned with low helms by Carl Hårleman in 1735. They were completely redesigned by Helgo Zetterwall who undertook substantial changes to the building in the 1880s. The cathedral's principal construction material is brick but the pillars and many details are of Gotland limestone. (Wikipedia)

Massive cathedral in Uppsala. Lots of interesting graves and paintings. The almost hidden treasure chamber in one of the towers is worth a visit.

Lars H — Google review

Large and very beautifulWe went in when there was music playing and it was divine. It's a tall very obvious to spot structure. No building is higher than the church in this townBeautiful and worth a visit indeed.

Ashwini S — Google review

The interior of the church is very impressive and the walls are decorated in a way that I've not seen in other European churches. There are also many elaborately decorated tombs of Swedish royalty to view.Considering that many churches in Stockholm charge an arm and a leg for entrance, it's very nice that entrance to the Uppsala Cathedral is free. Do not miss this.

Emma Y — Google review

Exterior red brick is unusual and impressive. Interior though is a bit bland. Not worth the visit to Uppsala.

Richard S — Google review

Wonderful church with a lot of Swedish history, dating back to 1270 and before that, the guided tour was very interesting. It's free to enter of you are not too many, but there is a cost for groups. Many Swedish historical persons are buried here.

Hanna R — Google review

The cathedral is absolutly beautiful. It looks really impressive from the outside and is visible fromnalmost anywhere in the city. The inside is also amazing. There is a beautiful grave in the front and glass panels. If you are lucky there might be a choir singing while you visit.

Matteo M — Google review

Beautiful Cathedral both outside and inside. My favorite part was the tombs which are located in the back.

An old cathedral at the heart of Uppsala. The location of the cathedral is very close to the Uppsala slott. Interior of the cathedral is something to blow your mind. The cathedral has the highest tower among all churches in Scandinavia.

The Tropical Greenhouse, located within the stunning baroque design of the Linnaean Gardens of Uppsala, showcases a diverse array of plants from tropical regions around the world. Visitors can immerse themselves in an environment featuring flora from deserts, rainforests, and savannahs. This "Winter Garden" offers a warm escape from the cold Nordic climate and is popular among international students.

I will give the review in English since a lot of international students visit this spot as well. The tropical "Winter Garden" offers a bit of a warm respite in the cold darkness of the North. With a wide variety of exotic and beautiful plants and a wholly different climate, you are sure to enjoy the experience. Very nice for people interested in botany or biology in general, the site is also free for students of Uppsala University.

Sights & Landmarks

Gripsholm Castle is a stunning lakeside castle with well-preserved 16th-century interiors and a remarkable state portrait collection. Visitors can immerse themselves in the castle's rich history, feeling like they've traveled back in time as they explore its numerous rooms across three different floors. The National Gallery housed within the castle is definitely worth seeing, showcasing an impressive painting collection. Guided tours are available for those seeking a comprehensive overview, but independent exploration is also an option.

Located in Mariefred, a picturesque town on Lake Mälaren, Gripsholm Castle towers powerfully and fairytale-like over the idyllic small town of Mariefred in Södermanland (about 60 km west of Stockholm).Gripsholm is known as Gustav Vasa's castle, as it was he who built the castle here in 1537. The renaissance castle offers romantic grounds, a fallow deer nature reserve and collections of furniture, handicrafts and interiors from four centuries.Since Gustav Vasa, Gripsholm has belonged to the Swedish Royal Family and was used as one of their residences until the 18th century. It is now a museum, but still considered to be a palace at the disposal of the King and as such it is part of the Crown palaces in Sweden.Take time to wander slowly through the many rooms and winding passages... See the Swedish State's collection of portraits – featuring prominent Swedes from the days of Gustav Vasa to present day musician and composer Benny Andersson. Visitors can also enjoy a royal stroll around the romantic castle grounds or meet the royal deer at the Hjorthagen nature reserve... and immerse yourself in Swedish history.Opening hours:May–September: Daily 10:00–16:00October–November: Sat–Sun 12:00–15:00* Some photos courtesy of Internet. Thanks!

Nice Swedish castle in a cute quaint town. Takes ~3hrs to see everything depending on how thorough and detailed in your observation you want to be.This castle has a huge portrait and painting collection, which they actively add to with current royalty and political figures. The theatre inside is a must see, has a quiet otherworldly vibe.Lots of couples seem to come here for wedding photos outside.

Tina L — Google review

It was a good place to visit. We visited with our kid (less than 5 year old) and she njoyed the place.- free parking- toilets are free and clean- kids play area- restaurant with mini golf

Krishna K — Google review

Remarkable place! I loved every moment of this visit! The castle has 65 amazing chambers ready to reveal their story, incredible paintings on the walls and rare royal items! My favourite room was King's theater!! 🎭 The view, the garden and all the outside surrounding was trully lovely!

Vasiliki G — Google review

A beautiful castle close to Stockholm in a picturesque village. Wonderful location and Beautiful paintings.

Marco V — Google review

Beautiful castle with an awesome painting collection. The rooms are very well preserved. It feels like traveling back in time, getting lost in the numerous rooms. Bring some time when visiting, there is lots to see. The tour (one English tour a day) gives a great overview and is amazing value for money (30sek for 1h and a great guide). But you can spend lots of time exploring the 3 different floors. One of the best castles I have been in as it really transports you back in time. The theater is stunning. The gardens are beautiful as well but don’t need as much time as the castle.

Laura W — Google review

Probably the best place we explored because of how much you get to actual wander and see. A lot of palaces and castles show you such a small portion of the estate but this felt like we could a walk around for hours. Highly recommend you make the trip out to see it.

John M — Google review

It's a small but quite nice place to spend some time. Very pleasant view across the water.

A castle well worth seeing. You only have to pay entry for the interior. The National Gallery is located there and is worth seeing. The property is maintained by preservationists and gardeners. You can hire a guided tour or explore the castle on your own.

Uta D — Google review

Gripsholm Castle is a real treat to visit! The historic architecture and beautiful surroundings make it a memorable experience. The interiors are fascinating, with plenty of history to explore. It's definitely worth the one hour train ride from Stockholm Central Station.

Eric L — Google review

We could not enter the castle because we arrived just after 16 hours (closing time during this time of the year) but the gardens alone were worth the ride. The peacefulness that you can experience here is something I will remember!

Tom?s P — Google review

Beautiful castle and worth the trip. Guided tours or stroll though at your own pace. Pay for the booklet guide if you go on your own. Lots of good info about each room.

Matthew S — Google review

Amazing preserved castle with immense amount of history and art. Beautifully located surrounded with water and parks and a pittoresk old town nearby.

Ja M — Google review

Great collection of paintings, beautiful gardens and magnificent castle. Unfortunately there is no description of rooms, paintings nor anything. Things are nice to look at but you won't get any context of what you see.

Kajetan N — Google review

After visiting Ängsö, Tidö in Sweden this place seemed to be a real castle in pictures so I've decided to take a visit, it looks amazing and worth a visit even if you see from outside (it was closed during the weekdays).

Sehr schönes Schloss mit großer und toller Parkanlage. Nur der Eintritt ins Schloss kostet Geld, der Rest ist kostenlos. Vivian H — Google review

Very interesting historical place, guided tour for extra 40SEK is highly recommended, it will make all the portraits more meaningful and make the history feel more relatable and relevant.

Alena V — Google review

Gripsholm castle is an intricate hall of history full of hidden gems. The architecture has grown over the centuries to a labyrinthic structure. Most of the halls and rooms have been remodeled in the 19th century, but there are a few rooms as they were originally in the 15th century. These are particularly well preserved. The guided tours are a very sound addition to your experience. My favorite hall is the gallery of portraits. Just the art in that gallery is worth the visit. Plan for three hours of touring, one with the guided tour and two on your own. There is plenty of parking and it is free.

Mario R — Google review

Schöner Ort.Das Schloss muss man sich angeschaut haben ist super gemacht.ist auf jedenfall einen Ausflug wert.war begeistert.(Translated by Google)Beautiful place. You have to see the castle. It's really well done. It's definitely worth a trip. I was thrilled.

Sascha T — Google review

The castle with its history and beautiful surroundings in Mariefred is well worth a visit. I recommend to do the guided tour and to not miss the lion, the theatre and the beautifully ornamented rooms which used to house Swedish royalty. We brought a picnic and ate it outside which was nice. Plenty of ice cream shops nearby in Mariefred.

Anna A — Google review

Castle is kept in good condition from inside and outside. This is really the biggest portrait gallery I know - portraits from centuries ago until today. It takes definitely 2 hours to go through castle rooms filled with portraits.

Ieva S — Google review

A nice castle situated near the famous Mälaren lake. The castle has its amazing history and inside the castle you can find the National Gallery with Portrait Figures. You need to buy tickets to go inside. But, you are free to explore surroundings. Importantly, the surrounding areas are awesome near to the water. There is heritage steam engine running around. The place is 1h 30min drive from Stockholm. If weather is nice do not hesistate to visit.

Dr. M — Google review

Interesting 16th century castle with rich history and a large impressive portrait collection. If you are curious with questions related to history the staff is friendly and have a wealth of knowledge.

Robert — Google review

Wooow, I was so surprised how beautiful it is from the inside. You pay entrance, not so expensive, and you can see all the castle.

Petr V — Google review

Just 30 mins from Södertalje. This is a good spot to spend the evening and view the sunset.Unfortunately we reached when the castle was closed but the view of the garden and lake is also great.

Saransh T — Google review

The well-maintained gardens surrounding the castle add to its allure, providing a serene escape for leisurely strolls and scenic views. From the ornate architecture to the serene ambiance, Gripsholm Slot is a photographer's paradise. The nostalgic charm of the vintage locomotive combined with the picturesque Swedish countryside made for a memorable journey. The attentive staff on board provided fascinating insights into the history of the train and the surrounding region, enriching the overall experience.

Ajay K — Google review

There is an amaizing portrait gallery here. I would definitely recommend visiting this beautiful castle in summer when everything is in blossom🌼

This is a must if you are a garden nerd. I have visited Piet Oudolfs other parks in Sweden, but this is by far the best. Go here to relax, chat with a friend or bring your own picnic. The colors and combinations are lovely!

Beautiful planting and great idea to provide a sheet so you can find out what your favourite plants are.. loved the tall hedges around some of the trees, very sculptural and pleasing on the eye.

Beautiful one but I suppose you need to visit this park when it is a bit more warm for the blooms.

Arsenalen - Swedish Tank Museum is a fascinating place for military history enthusiasts. The museum boasts an impressive collection of Swedish army vehicles, including unique pieces like the turret-less Stridsvagn S and the first Swedish tank. Visitors can also marvel at tanks from different eras, from early 20th-century models to modern ones like the Strv 103. The exhibition also features old toy soldiers and offers a small but pleasant café.

Swedish tank museum, they have all the Swedish tanks on display, and some other. Sherman, T-34-85, Hetzer, Marder etc. Stridsvagn 21 and 103c being highlights

Helge N — Google review

awesome museum, it has a great collection of vehicles with a lot of unique ones i hadn't seen anywhere else. There is also a very nice unit collection on the first floor for which the signs are unfortunately only in Swedish but it's still interesting and worth using google translate.During my visit it wasn't to busy so i had ample opportunity to look at vehicles and make photo's.Gift shop has the normal stuff, but but the book selection is mainly Swedish.I can recommend the museum and would expect to spend 2-4 hours visiting it.

Iljawitsh V — Google review

Very nicely done exihibition, with a lot of historical tanks, trucks and apc's. Good English language description with background information an all displayed items.

Alexandru R — Google review

👎Be aware! This museum dose not take cash! I only had cash this day, and with a non service minded staff, I wasen't alowed entry. I stil belive it is legal to pay, with swedish "kronor" , even in Sweden.Probably a good museum, that l wont be visiting...

Trond K — Google review

There is a large selection of military vehicles. Most of them from Sweden. We went on a Sunday. Museum is calm and quiet, not much crowded. We had a great time there.

Chamani T — Google review

Amazing museum with tanks and vehicles from the start of the 20th century and the first tank to the 21st Century with modern tanks like the Strv 103.Nice staff and a good albeit small café.I highly recommend this museum to anyone interested in military vehicles!

Andreas A — Google review

Pretty cool museum, although a bit boring maybe. Lots of old tanks and info about them, but lacking that little extra touch to get a full five. Definitely worth a visit if you’re into military history.

Joachim ? — Google review

Great tank museum with alot of information about the vehicles.

Jnnck.89_InQontrol — Google review

Great place with super service minded staff, especially Emilia who helped us, hosting the Zimbabwe’s Parliament visit to the nearby Solar park and we had a good time at Arsenalens conference facility, blueberry muffins and good coffee. Thank you 🙏

Lars L — Google review

Awesome museum with a lot of vehicles and interesting exhibitions. We expected it to take an hour, but it turned out to be more than three. So take your time for this museum!

Johan T — Google review

This I like! Very nice indeed! Went there with two kids too young to enjoy it, but tästill they found it nice!

Anders A — Google review

Amazing experience and displays - enjoyed the diorama type depictions - also the ability to walk around most of the vehicles "up close and personal"😁 thanks to all staff for a great experience!

Diederik G — Google review

Excellent Tank Museum if you like tanks! Of course they have loads of unique Swedish vehicles but also some very nice German WO2 panzers!

RC ( — Google review

Intersting historical masterpieces and nice variety, and would definitely be 5 stars had there been better information on the vehicle signs on english. Lots of information was only in swedish and only bits in English. Definitely recommend besides that.

Lord A — Google review

Cool place! Remember you'll need At Least two hours. They have alot of tanks and history. I'd only wish one could enter some of the tanks too.

Grimmer2006 — Google review

Large well organised tank museum with focus on swedish armoured vehicles. Impressive collection of tanks through the ages. Nicely laid out with plenty of space around the vehicles. Lots to see! Definitely worth a visit.

Joakim Ö — Google review

Quite nice military vehicle museum. Mostly Swedish army vehicles, including the unique turret less Stridsvagn S and the very first Swedish tank.Museum also holds the only surviving example of a StuG III Ausf D with tropical filters attached. In addition, the museum has a wonderful, and quite large, exhibition of old toy soldiers.

Marcus M — Google review

Super fun and interesting. Went with out 2.5 y/o and had wonderful time seeing, petting and learning about the moose. The adults get up to the cart and you can see the feeding of the calves

Hillel A — Google review

Amazing place, been here 5times, 3times on tour, taking my friends coming to visit us in Sweden! The owner and guide in one person is amazing person and great showman! Very interesting information about moose, which are very nice animals. Strongly recomend to visit..........must do in Sweden!

Dzem245 — Google review

This is one of the best tourist activities I've done in any country. It's obvious that they truly care about the moose, on the property and the wild. I highly recommend the tour. Food from the concession is very good. Slightly slow to handle 100+ people but plenty to do and see while waiting.

Brooks W — Google review

Very nice experience. The guided tractor tour to the mooses is very unique. The owners have done a great job of thinking the tour and park through. Both sides - the visitors as well as the animals - are in the focus here. Clear rules (=good) for the visitors, but at the same time we could see everything we came for - from very young, sweet- to beautiful "old" mooses. I really recommend it.

Adrian W — Google review

Just a great place and unusual experience. Very nice people, worth to come earlier or stay a bit later to enjoy a cup of coffee.

Kokpunkten Actionbad is a re-purposed industrial complex that features lazy rivers, paddling pools, and thrilling slides with funky lighting. The facility offers both fun and relaxation for visitors of all ages. However, there are certain areas in need of improvement such as the lack of a cold bath near the sauna and the long distance between dressing rooms and the pool. Additionally, while reasonably clean, there were very few tables available in the café which led to long queues at times.

Great but not so many waterslides. Truly recomend It has a Great hotel next to it, actuly its in the same building i will give som photos. And if you go to this waterpark and stay in the hotel you will get a cKaraoke room for free (one hour free).

Lev F — Google review

wonderful. From the moment of arrival and the kind treatment of the employees to the moment of leaving, everything is neat, clean, and excellentA lovely experience that I will repeat again and again.I wish you were in Stockholm and I could use your good service every day.

Arash S — Google review

Four great action rides/slides and good experience pool. The food is ok but not ambitious. But overall a very nice experience. Not too long queues for the rides which the family liked.

Fredrik L — Google review

Very underwhelming. The pools are small and there are not enough tables in the restaurant to accommodate all the guests during busier days. The water slides are fun once, maybe twice but I suppose that I'd find them more entertaining if I was 12.Poorly designed with a long, cold corridor to get from the changing rooms to the pools, very few showers (two of them didn't work at all) and unlike other baths I've been to there was no place to put your shampoo and conditioner bottles while showering. On the bright side the food was very good and not hideously overpriced.

DISREIGN — Google review

Attractions are great. The place is amazing for kids and adults. The restaurant is dirty. Food is disgusting. Small portions that are not enough for kids. Food is overpriced. The only downsode is restaurant, everything else is great. I'm definitely recommending visiting, just avoid food there.

Ljubivoje I — Google review

Our family had a blast here. Lots of fun for all ages. A couple of the speed slides are a bit rough but otherwise we felt very safe and comfortable. Very clean and fun environment.

Erik C — Google review

I have to give an honest review. This place gives the impression that it's some sort of cool adventure waterpark....it is not. It's a swimming pool with a few slides. Some of the "attractions" were shut down (The Double Racer and the Aqua Cinema). The "Wall" in the beginning had so many grips missing it was impossible to actually climb it to be able to enjoy it. They didn't have enough tubes so people were standing around at the bottom waiting. I even saw some adults trying to take tubes from children. The lines are long and they close down certain slides during certain times which makes no sense, which causes even longer lines. They only have TWO VR headsets at a time for the "underwater experience" which is insane considering how many people are there. The VR for the slides is "ok" but its very outdated, it reminded me of when VR first came out not to mention you have to pay to even use the headsets every time you use them! For the price it's SUPER overpriced it's not fair that we were charged full price for a park that wasn't fully functional. The only thing that was actually cool was the Boomerang, altho ride with caution, I slammed my backside and legs on it.

Nicole — Google review

It is a indoor amusem*nt aqua park. It was not so big compared to the other aqua parks which i have gone so far but it worth visiting. It is so clean with friendly stuff. There is a circle inside the water which in that area water rotate around the circle and moves you inside which was a cool experience. Also there is a small outdoor swimming pool with hot water which you can breath in fresh air and enjoy a lot while you are seeing the sea view from inside. When you want to buy ticket there are 3 ticjet options, just buy the cheapest one since there is not much difference between them but the price difference is quite a lot. There is a buffet there which you can buy some snacks there but you can bring your own snack and eat there as well. The slides was not impressive to me.

Mohammadreza S — Google review

Lots of fun for kids, clean, a little bit dark so it becomes heavy after some hours. Water slides pools and one activities inside the pools. Not so long food options but big sizes.

Luis G — Google review

It was quite nice, the water isn't dirty which is good. Doesn't smell like choline. Although if you have epilepsy, 8 would NOT recommend as there's slashing lights just about everywhere. It's a bit hard to navigate and a lot of stairs.

Miriam H — Google review

Bottom floor is for the youngest kids and the higher floors when you want more action, which I think is a very good layout. Last year I was here during a lightning storm a felt really lucky because of the spectacular view from the restaurants big window. If you plan on getting here I can also recommend the hotel in the same building, Steam Hotel.

Matthias T — Google review

Nice experience with VR in the swimming pool and on the slide.

Krystyna S — Google review

Fun place! What I didn't like was the combination of food and water playground, you stumble on kebab pieces and fries on the way to the pool.. Double racer was closed as well.Nice terrace pool!

Vanja D — Google review

It was a really good day at the Kokpunkten Actionbad. The staff there was really nice. It was a good mix between chill & fun. We not need wait no where, everything was quik (we was on your monday). The bath was clean & looks really good. Price was also okay & the parking was also easy.

Aletta K — Google review

Very disappointed after my family's visit to Kokpunkten. The pool area was much smaller than I had expected and there was not much room to play in, every space had been used for some kind of attraction. The rides were good, but out of four, one was closed for renovation, and the others were also closed in turns during the day - it seemed like there was not enough staff to have the remaining three rides open simultaneously. This of course meant that queues to the open rides were huge.Regarding staff there seemed to be a lack of it in the whole installation, there was practically no-one overlooking the different areas and groups of boys/adolescents were allowed to run wild, even in the kiddie pool. The queue to the café was always really long, even though we waited until long after regular lunch hours. The available food in the café was also really disappointing to a vegetarian: margherita pizza (no toppings) and french fries were basically it - nothing with any protein. How hard would it be to have at least vegetarian hot dogs or a pizza with some topping other than meat?Another irritation was the dim lighting, it was just really dark everywhere you went - when going from inside to the outside pool, it took ten minutes for your eyes to adjust.Price-wise it's really expensive compared to other similar places and not at all value for money. On the positive side, the outside pool was nice, the kiddie area was big and had lots of fun stuff, there were lots of bubble baths and the changing rooms were spacious and clean.

Nonis M — Google review

Kokpunkten Actionbad in Västerås offers an exhilarating aquatic experience with its diverse slides and adventurous water attractions. The adrenaline-pumping atmosphere, coupled with friendly staff, ensures a memorable visit. However, limited seating areas might inconvenience guests during peak hours. Overall, a thrilling waterpark adventure for families.

Peter L — Google review

Great escape from the routine. They have taken great advantage of the space ( an expansion with more slides will for sure be welcome and more fun).Only complain is that a larger braking space at the end of the slides is needed!! I ended up upside down and hurting my shoulder at one of them because of the speed at the end.

Marilena M — Google review

They don't have any vegan food in their menu in the restaurant other than fries, staff was friendly and could do some changes to make dishes vegan (like plain paste with just tomato sauce) but would be great if the management could add proper vegan meals to the menu

Márton B — Google review

Worst experience ever. Been to many water parks throughout europe, so in total general area 5 jacuzzi constantly full all the common area is just for kids. Very poor choice of activities. Very small space no fresh air, overhyped in total i don’t know how it has 4 star rating. Would not recommend people to come who are not from this city, waste of time enjoy your local pools it gives same quality. ( Should rename it from actionbad it has only 4 slides )

Gabrielius — Google review

A honest review: first thing the people working there are horrible hogging the ping pong table not working and the people at the slide dont help you sith safety or anything they stand there kissing like its a date and cant be bothered by others. Second thing is that the vr quality sucks you cant see anything and it costs 25 kr and is only one time and it doesnt even sit on your head my brothers headset reset midway and half of the time you cant even buy them. Third thing is that many of things like rides are closed and theres a bounch of children without parents causing trouble and they need to weigh 55 kg atleast to ride boomerang but the employes let 6 year olds ride it which makes them stuck at the bottom horrible safety. It was fun to be there and the food was good but at a high cost and the most of rhe toilets were unlockable and dirty so you had to hold it in the entire time.Id give ig around 1.5/5 because i had lots of fun but the service and nature of the place was horrible

BenA_Seal — Google review

I celebrated my birthday here yesterday. The water park is very warm and humid almost everywhere. It has five slides, one of them being the black River. It’s a slide thats pitch black with no light with lots of twists and turns, it’s very fun!The VR rides were very interesting, and the outdoor relax pool had a very nice view at nighttime. The water there is also very warm

Charline A — Google review

A great place. Much fun and relaxing. Only one thing I was disappointed is there is no cold bath near sauna. VR slider doesn’t worth to pay, might be nice for small kids.

Kazumaro M — Google review

They need to do something about the queues. Although they added a tent, it still cold to wait. The bracelet that we got two of them didn’t work so we had to go back and reprogram them. The kiosk had a problem with the system and it didn’t work to order for 30 min, then we lost our queue and started over. The slide ls had queues also. It was clean though, it felt fresh. Other than that is okay to be there for some hours. Parking is not free, 100kr for 4 hours.

What F — Google review

Cold inside, quite a distance between the dressing rooms and the pool. Otherwise fine and reasonably clean. Very few tables and long queue in the cafe at times

Sala Silver Mine is a former silver mine located 2km south of the town center. The vast mine complex offers plenty of activities and tours for visitors, including exploring its caverns and shafts containing galleries, artifacts, and even the world's deepest hotel suite. Tours are available every half-hour from 11am to 3pm, taking visitors deep into the mines up to 150m below ground level.

A very interesting and unique place definitely worth visiting

Vytautas P — Google review

We had a coffee, took the 155 meter tour and visited the antique shop. The tour guide was really funny and add a really cool mine down below and it is a real good trip. The Sala mine is quite small, so it is not that many meters you walk around. However the views and environmeent is cool. Obviously 9 minutes up and down in an elevator is really boring, but alas you need to reach the depths somehow. The coffee and the people at the cafe really, really nice. You feel the friendliness in the place. Antique shop has a lot of cool stuff.

On our 155m tour it was a bit cool but still very beautiful. Especially because on this tour you can move freely and independently and if you want you can ask the guide questions.

Excellent guides who switched effortlessly to English and had brilliant knowledge of the site

Deborah S — Google review

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY HERE!We had the "english" tour for the 55m mine.- The mine is very small and very dark. You will see almost nothing, only a hole in the ground. Very, very bad illuminated. The only informations we got was that: "here is the 40m level and down there 55m".- The museum is very small and bad organized, without good explanation about the mine history. Nothing detailed related to the extraction process.- The price is huge (395 for swedish or 295 for english sek/person) compared with what is offers. A fair price would be maximum 150 sek/adult. Be aware that the kids ABOVE 4 will pay a FULL price ticket.Very dissapointed! I felt almost cheated.

Weiter so!(Translated by Google)Anyone passing by Sala should definitely stop here. The tour through the former silver mine is a really great experience. The guides also wear the original classic robes. Everything is presented very interestingly in both Swedish and English. But the biggest thing is the acoustics, which were wonderfully illustrated. The first question was whether someone could sing a song. Of course, when none of the participants wanted to do this, the guide herself sang a typical Swedish folk song and in excellent form. This definitely gives you goosebumps in the dim atmosphere of the mine. After the song, a few Swedes themselves sang a folk song, which topped it off as the reverb spread through the entire mine. Really a great experience! We have never experienced anything like this on any other hell or mine tour. Very large cinema and great service team in Sala. Keep it up!

Beautiful place and a great experience going down the mine. We took the tour with the lift since we are traveling with kids.It is a good idea to book in advance since there are not many chances to buy a ticket at the entrance. Also, the mine is cold and humid, you'll need at least 20-30 min under earth to see around and it won't be enjoyable if you are not well dressed. There is a restaurant that offers lunch and coffee. There are also some benches to eat your lunch if you brought it with you.

Be careful, it is very cold down there at a constant 2-4 degrees. Visiting in autumn/winter is practical for temperature reasons, good shoes and sure-footedness are necessary, but then the pit is an unforgettable experience.

Great guided Tour - take the right clothes with you, it is cold, dirty and wet and at the same time you will have an amazing mine with an impressive man made monument. We had an awesome time at the gruva and learned a lot about mining and how tedious it was before the industrialisation.

Loved it! There's three different tours in the mines 1 hour, 2 hours, 4 hours. The 4 hours tour includes dinner in the mines heated rooms 155M under ground. The other tours takes you 60M under ground.

Mazterskink — Google review

How to book a Tour in English?... There's no clear information about that in the official site.

Rad P — Google review

bit expensive for going underground but considering visiting all exhibitions and buildings overground is free and the guides underground are dressed up and act like they are miners explaining what they are doing and you can ask them questions a great experience none the less.A revised underground lighting concept could make the big mine domes much more impressive though.

Very well organized and peaceful. We took the tour self-paced with our two boys 9 and 11 years. There were very knowledgable guides available at various stations, we were impressed by them being able to answer all our questions, they felt like professionals geologists and historians. There were also acts were the guides played that we were mine workers, which was fun for all of us. We can warmly recommend to visit Sala Silver mine.

Mining museum and good antique shops.

OH K — Google review

We arrived in the morning and were informed that the visit in English were at 12:45 for the 66m deep and 14:00 for the 155m deep.Since we didn’t want to wait too long, we chose the earliest. The visit was nice, the Lady didn’t have the technical words in English but it was understandable. The museum and the photography building only have descriptions in Swedish. English ones would have been appreciated.A bit expensive for what it is (almost 30€ per person) but I would recommend.

Vallby friluftsmuseum is a recreated 19th-century Swedish village that offers visitors an opportunity to explore Swedish culture through costumed interpreters and demonstrations. It's a great destination for families with small kids as the entry is completely free and there are several animals on display. Depending on the day or season, visitors can also go into classic Swedish buildings and see how life was in the past.

Free entrance. It's a lovely place to visit, with lots of animals and greenery. You can go inside the buildings and receive guidance and info from staff.

Parken Zoo in Eskilstuna, Sweden is a captivating destination that offers a perfect blend of wildlife, entertainment, and family-friendly fun. The zoo features a diverse range of animal exhibits including big cats, primates, and reptiles from around the world. Visitors can also enjoy carousels, roller coasters, and a swimming pool. Additionally, there's a petting zoo with alpacas and goats for an interactive experience with animals.

A very good place to be with kids.... with lots of wild cats... jaguars, lions, tigers, leopard, cheetah... Their lilla zoo is a must visit place.... kids would really love it... the rides are amazing too... We really had a great time🥰🥰

A pretty broad park experience with a bit of everything, mostly tailored to children. Mainly tidy and clean, with some few (not too good) options for food and drinks throughout the park area. Animals seem to have proper pens but some look like they exhibit some stress behaviours. A little bit of a steep entry fee but at least access to everything (including free rides) is included.

Simon L — Google review

Great for the family and has a bit of everything... Just remember to bring EVERYTHING you need to cook with. We forgot but there's a supermarket and a food market next to the camp site.Have been multiple years in a row with kids and they've loved it every time.

Aislinn R — Google review

Many attractions we're closed, most of the ones I went there for. Lines were big for every attraction and shop. It felt like I was at a early 2000s disco sometimes, because people were so close to me most of the times(remember we're in the 2020s).Very disappointed that I had to pay full price for this zoo; which had to include the overly crowded pool and carousel rides which I would never use.I recommend paying for a ride to Stockholm and going to a zoo there which would be the same price combined. I'm sure both you and the animals would have more fun there.

Great zoo! Worth every penny. They have a petting-zoo, a pool-area and a funfair too. Great park. Only thing that was a total let-down was the "restaurant" Morris. A public zoo characterized by a total absence of maintenance and animal welfare. The zoo looks like 20 years after Jurassic Park. Left to themselves. We saw 1 employee on our entire tour. This one just looks horrible. Not recommended for a single soul. Our condolences to most of the animals.

Wadköping is a historically significant village-style attraction that boasts period architecture, craft shops, and a bakery. The Wadkoping museum village is home to several craft workshops and buildings of historical significance such as Kungsstugan and Cajsa Warg's house. It has been recognized as Sweden's most beautiful national park and serves as a living embodiment of the city's history. Visitors can explore the village on their own or take guided tours during certain times of the year.

Nice old history place, that learns you and your relatives about old Sweden. Very family friendly (since there is playgrounds here and there, shops and cafés). And it’s free (parking space is almost no deal at all, though i’d recommend walking!)

Beautifully preserved old buildings arranged like a small town center with many artists and people sharing their trades.- wood workers, blackmiths and silversmiths who sell their products. Many educational places for children and adults alike. The are plenty of outdoor spaces and two neighboring parks with gorgeous plants and greenery. Es una especie de mini Skansen, edificaciones tradicionales con años de antigüedad. Un paseo merece la pena, pero tampoco va a llevar mucho tiempo.(Translated by Google)It is a kind of mini Skansen, traditional buildings that are years old. This review covers both Wadköping and Örebro och both places are well worth a visit. Park your car at Wadköping (5 kr per hour ) and start your journey by walking through the village. Yup they are all red in colour but they are also from different centuries. It's like going back in time and seeing actual houses built 300 plus years ago. It's a fascinating place. Once you have seen enough keep walking towards the beautiful botanical garden's and park. Beautifully set out with flowers, sculptures water fountains and a lovely river flowing on one side. Follow the river path and you will leave Wadköping behind you. Within minutes you come to Örebro with its amazing Castle, Skulptures and magnificent buildings. For me it was a big WOW. I could write about so many things too see in Örebro but I think you should just check it out yourself. You won't be disappointed.

Fortress

Örebro Castle, a riverside medieval fortress, has stood for over seven centuries as a dominant feature of the city's skyline. Originally built as a defense castle and later transformed into a royal residence, it now serves as the home of the county governor. Visitors can explore its history through guided tours and family-friendly activities. The surrounding area offers picturesque views and dining options, making it an ideal destination for an enriching day out.

Örebro Castle is beautiful and acts as a central point for the city. The castle ground itself is really interesting, as well as the various exhibitions that you can see inside. The staff is very friendly and is happy to help you. My overall experience was great, and I would happily come back time after time.

BEAUTIFUL AND MAJESTIC - A fine center for a city that has a lot to offer. The Örebro Castle is worth a walk around and the castle tour is fun. The only reason for 4/5 stars is because of the gift shop. It is loaded w cheap products from China and when one failed and we tried to return it, they resisted the refund and were snarky. Please, this is Sweden and it is loaded w crafts that are made LOCALLY. Utilize your resources to promote this beautiful country and get rid of the trinkets that can be found in every gift shop around the world.

All of the period furniture has long since been removed and none of the paintings are originals. No palace rooms, nothing inside to indicate it's origins as a castle. It is now used as exhibition space. If you are specifically interested in the exhibition at the time, go ahead. But do NOT pay to tour the castle. Just take your outside pic and move on.If this review saved you $15 and an hour of your life, please click helpful below.

I did not enter into the castle though but just sitting beside the castle and take a break will make you refresh.

홍용택 — Google review

Impressive castle to look at from the outside, but a big waste of money to tour the interior. All of it has been redone in the late 1900s and so all of the historical charm has been lost. The rooms are also not furnished and the information provided is super limited. All of the paintings inside are prints. For a castle with over 400 years of history, the interior was extremely disappointing.

Kyle L — Google review

The castle is extremely beautiful especially on the outside. A unique piece of preserved cultural heritage, unfortunately the exhibition lacks in terms of substance. The artworks are few and the rooms are mostly empty, I feel there's a missed opportunity here considering the building's long history and there is room for improvement. Additionally a bit more difficult than necessary to find wardrobe space.

We visited this castle in June 2023 as part of a couple’s trip in Sweden and it was a good experience. The castle is very pretty on the outside, as well as inside, and the tickets comes with a guided tour that’s very informative. We didn’t need to buy the tickets in advance, we purchased them on the day and there wasn’t any queue.

Was there in the evening on a public holiday and the Castle was closed, It is in the city center. The surrounding area of the castle has a park and the sound of water flowing through this park is something you can spend hours listening to.Overall it is a good place to explore.

Beautiful Castle in Örebro. Street parking available with Flowbird App. There is a guided tour available in both Swedish and English languages.

Lodhi — Google review

We did not arrange a guided tour but we have just met coincidentally a very nice guy from that region who was really familiar with the history of the castle and around. He explained a lot about the building as well as the family who lived there. How it was raised up and lot of other interesting things. Good to visit with family. Also the area around is very nice and you will definitely find a good place for lunch or dinner around.

Björn T — Google review

Beautiful castle, the gem of Orebro. Nice to see from the outside and take photos of. Inside, there's a free and a paid museum that you can both visit.

Wonder M — Google review

Very beautiful castle outside and inside. That said we have arrived 3 days before the grand new exhibition, the reception people told us 3/4 of the castle was closed. Don't know what to say about that, we saw a bunch of rooms showing the history of the castle, its style and some of the important people that passed by. Recommended

Really fun and nice, after lunch it was long queues to all the slides and quite crowded in the river, this was during the high season. Being able to checkout from the parking and money on the wrist band is more of a limit since you only pay for what you use, very convenient.

Stefan H — Google review

Very enjoyable experience. Visited the adventure pool place with my kid sister and spent 6 hours playing around, going down the different rides. What's more, every xx:30 on the clock there is a special event in the main adventure pool.Highly recommend visiting with friends or family, most enjoyable for 7+ years, but younger kids are welcome under parental supervision.

Regem D — Google review

Needs pre-booking to enter. (Drop in the day before not possible)Overcrowded in the indoor pools. Large ques on all activities/slides.Unable to ride tube slides, no tubes free, people having tubes using them over and over again not making them available.Temperature in the pools are on the lower side "cold", need to keep active not to freeze.

Arne M — Google review

The kids enjoy Lost World very much.Would've been 5 stars if they raked the floor from band aids and toe lint more often, but that goes for almost all pool/fun park changing rooms I've ever visited.

Niklas P — Google review

Very crowded when we went and not enough staff to control crowds and safety on the slides. Not as clean as it should be. Otherwise fun with lots to do for kids and grown ups!

Rhiannon B — Google review

Unsafe water park, absolutely no safety measures. Slides allowed all swimmers to slide together. No lifeguard at each slide. No limit for people who enter the park so it was overcrowded.

Laila E — Google review

Great activity for winterMire suits for older kids than kids around 1-3 years old.Clean, organised, and helpful staff.I would recommend it. At least one-time visit is worth it.

Nice place to relax near by stockholm if you want to have good time with family and friends. Place has got basic amenities that any camping site would have. It has pool areas that are covered in accommodation packages. The attraction lost city has separate entry ticket. A one night, two day stay seems quite adequate to experience a change from my busy schedule.

Tarik H — Google review

Awesome place to visit, lots of fun especially for kids. Beautifully designed & well organised. Easy access, smart storage facilities, a small restaurant inside - it has everything you need.6 slides in total, mostly child friendly. 1 slide is bit tricky and might injure someone if not being careful but overall safety is well considered.

Nitin B — Google review

It is okay. Sometimes it is not... Last time there was ice cold water in the showers. We were a lot of women waiting for that one spot that had semi warm water. ...Very annoying.

Meg S — Google review

Amazing indoor Waterpark! Great fun for kids, teens, and adults alike!

Alex J — Google review

We went during höstlov/half term and the place was way too jam packed. It was obvious that the owners prioritised making as much profit as possible over the experience and even safety of the guests. We couldn't find a parking space and I even had to wait in a long queue to use the showers, not to mention the super long queues for the slides. Completely unreasonable! On the plus side, the electronic wristbands to the locker preloaded with credit were a really good idea, very convenient. The kids 9 and 11 enjoyed themselves but we will definitely not be coming back.

Cherry K — Google review

Castle

Sights & Landmarks

Läckö Castle is a remarkable instance of Swedish baroque architecture from the 17th century, positioned approximately 23km north of Lidkoping. Originally established in 1298, the Count Magnus Gabriel de la Gardie reconstructed and enhanced it in 1615. The castle is filled with antique furnishings and frescoes and conducts art exhibits as well as opera performances during summer months.

If you're at all interested in castles, this medieval castle from the 13th century is a must visit. Very well preserved and a beautiful area around it. Can definitely recommend!

Liked:- The guided tour in English was concise, informative and hilarious, thanks to Astrid's humour.- Some parts of the castle provide a glimpse of Swedish political history.- I liked the kungsalen(30 years war paintings were informative), and köksborgen was incredible.- They have brief(30 minutes) activities for kids.- The information boards are available in English as well. Can be improved:- Provide more technical information e.g. materials and techniques used to build and maintain to castle.- Please provide audio guides.- Provide access to rooms where one can view Vänern from a vantage point.- Avoid unrelated and irrelevant exhibitions like Wonderland (no offence to the artist or the followers). Most of the people visit to understand and view historical aspects, not modern art exhibitions.- The book, and souvenir collection can be expanded.

One of the beautiful slotts in Sweden. Great place for a history visit, or simply for a family picnic. Inside the slott there's a beautiful garden and outside, you will find a serene lake with super clean water. Also, the foods in the Cafe were really good.

On a dark rainy evening:It was difficult to know when we were arriving. Mostly this is the castle Läckö/restaurant Hvita Hjorten mistake. It would be great with signage showing where to park/go.Anyway, you do arrive and park by the charging station for electric cars on the right hand side at arrival and follow the path way with lights that seems to lead you into nowhere, this is to get to restaurant Hvita Hjorten. The castle Läckö didn’t have any lights at all and couldn’t be seen at all. What a pity for such an opportunity.Restaurant Hvita Hjorten had delicious food, a nice ambiance and very good and friendly service.

Traumhaft. The location and the state of preservation are worth seeing. Even without an admission ticket you can visit the inner courtyard, chapel and a small exhibition. Flawless. We also recommend visiting the steamboat quay down on Vänern, away from the main entrance to the castle. There you also have the perfect perspective for cool photos.

The castle was very beautiful and is located near a lake. It is one of the historic place in Lidköping. One can spend 2 to 3 hours in this castle. There was guided tour in Swedish every hour and English guided tour every two hours starting from 10.30, 12.30, 14.30 and 16.30. We got lots of historic information from the guide about the castle, the rooms, the Prince and the Princess. That was very good! You can also find lots of picnic spots around the castle near the lake, fishing spots and people can swim in the lake there as well. Also there was a restaurant near the castle's main entrance. We had carried our own food, so did not have a chance of trying food in the restaurant. One can also find a gift shop inside the castle and check out to buy some nice pieces 😊 as a memory!!!

We went in the off-season so I don't know if they are closed just because of that or whether we just were there too late and they were closed. So we could not go inside. But we were able to walk around the grounds and say hello to the little lambs. It's a really pretty place on a lake. It's a bit out of the way, but if you've got the time it's worth a little trip up. Plan a couple hours total for travel up from Lidköping and walking around the place. If it's open it may take more time

Good for burning a couple of hours, but I didn't feel like I needed to stay much longer than that. Some interesting pieces of information, predominantly in Swedish and not everything is translated, but there is enough information in English to keep you satisfied. Nordby Shoppingcenter

Shopping mall

Shopping

Sprawling retail gallery offering 2 supermarkets & popular chain stores, plus casual dining options.

Nordby supermarket is amongst the largest in Scandinavia. They have shops of most genre's, and will help you fill up your storage with stuff at a reasonable price. The center was struck hard by the pandemic travel restrictions, but is recovering quickly. More shops will open with time in the center. They also have a foodcourt, that offers a Thai cuisine buffet restaurant, one Chinese cousine buffet restaurant and one Turkish cousine restaurant. You can also get a pizza at a pizza stand here.

Andre S — Google review

Busy with the shoppers coming from Norway, but the prices are not hugely cheaper on most items, although there are savings to be had.Clean and tidy, though the range of fresh items could be better.

Insanity B — Google review

Certainly! Nordby Shopping Center offers an array of dining options, from Scandinavian cuisine to international fast food chains, making it a great place to take a break and savor some local flavors or grab a quick bite. The mall is well-maintained and provides ample parking, ensuring a hassle-free shopping experience for tourists. It's not just a place for shopping; you'll also find entertainment options, like a cinema, which can be a fun way to unwind after a day of shopping. With a friendly and multilingual staff, Nordby Shopping Center is a welcoming spot for tourists seeking a mix of retail therapy and cultural exploration in the Swedish-Norwegian border region.

I had an incredible shopping experience at Nordby Shoppingcenter! One of the standout features is just how massive the center is. With its sprawling layout, Nordby offers a vast selection of stores that cater to every taste and need. The size of the stores themselves is impressive, allowing for a wide range of products and brands to choose from. It's a shopper's paradise, and I can't wait to visit again!

Tino Z — Google review

I have no recollection of ever visiting this shopping center. I bet it's great with lots of different shops and nice facilities. I would love to visit for the first time some day. Looks incredible on the pictures. Bet they have a pharmacy and candy.

Coco M — Google review

A decent mall with most of the common brands available. We went with the kids and my review from that perspective. First of all the candy shop is incredible. The options are humongous with tall candy towers. Along with it there are toy shops and play area available for a good time. Kids can have food options within and outside the mall. Inside the mall there are buffet shops with Asians and istanbul type of options. Outside you will find Mcdonalds near to the parking.Overall the destination is good place to spend few hours. If you are going from Norway for spotting cheap price good then I recommend you look at Things with sugar like Candy, Soda, Energy drinks etc. Dairy items like Milk, Yoghurt, Cheese are cheaper compare to Norway. Alcohol is not available in the mall but it’s cheaper in Sweden so you can drive 10 minutes to buy it. Cigarettes are available and are cheaper compare as well. Please remember to buy things with in the custom quota. Norway customs have a great app call Toll to know your free import limits and also you can pay the duty within the app if you are exceeding your quota. Meat is cheaper too but again you have hard limits on how much can be imported.

Pretty decent mall, its quite large and has a nice selection of stores, though it's more long than wide so you will get some exercise, but that's probably normal with a mall of this size. Has some restaurants in the middle, some fast food joints nearby or inside and a smaller food court upstairs, so you do have a lot of options. It has free parking too.

Håkon M — Google review

It has it all, great place, word of advice, go if you can on a week day, not on weekends, it's crazy full on weekends.

Vanessa F — Google review

We love Swedish shopping centres and always check them out for their unique products and flavours.

Edward S — Google review

Large shopping mall near the Norway/Sweden border with various brands like H&M, best clothes, PONDUS, Rusta,Magasinet, MQ, Nilson Shoes, etc. Also has a Burger King,McDonald's and Subway.Free parking. Clean restrooms. Products are cheaper than retails prices.

Nithin J — Google review

Might be scandinavias most visited shopping center. But it sure as hell aint Scandinavias biggest as it advertises to be! Nordby supermarket is for sure the best for your food shopping. Gottebiten upstairs next to MaxiMat is superb.

Kevin F — Google review

Many shops. Good variety of eateries. Reasonable price. Famous for buying food items for those live close from Norway. Good parking facilities.Trafikk also moves smoothly. But I missed Biltema type shops.

Water park

Water & Amusem*nt Parks

Very clean public fitness center which has indoor swimming pools with water slides, steaming room, sauna, café, gym, eating area serving pizza, burger, fries, drinks, ice cream etc. Very friendly and help staff. All areas are very clean and tidy. No bad scent and well kept place and good place for family and friends friend weekend visit. There are also available 3 hours and 1 day free parking places with permit card right around the place.

ExinMEDIA B — Google review

Honestly best pool for kids and grow ups, i haven't found such fun pools in Oslo area, everything you need they have, highly recommend to try at least once with family.

MASTERdso — Google review

Very nice place for the whole family, food is not the best but it's not a restaurant so it's not a problem. Pools are clean enough, lockers work, showers are okay, plenty of room and even though it was full there are places to chill and relax. Didn't try the jacuzzi since it was always over capacity and I do not enjoy a human soup, stayed around 3 hours and my 4 year old enjoyed every second of it.

Ivan M — Google review

Great place to spend time with family and friends. Clean water, tidy place and neat everywhere. More than 5 separate pools for different ages and activities. Jacuzzi and sauna also present. With Bigger slides for adults and smaller slides for kids. Parking, Cafeteria, advanced locker and shower area, they do sell swim suit, cap, Goggles and flipflops. But less staffs and unable to contact them at ease. Overall excellent place.

Raji B — Google review

Nice waterpark. Ee had a very good time. The only cons I can think of is that it was extremely noisy and that food was rather basic. But you don't have to eat there, do you?

Aleksandra — Google review

Great place to visit with families, swing, eat, relax, spa. Much fun for the kids. Nice service. Like the new lock system. No need to bring own lock. You might have problems if you forgot something and need to exit building due to the new lock. But not a problem. The price is a bit high for a family to visit, unfortunately. Go a bit later to avoid crowded guests. Will be back☺ hope they will set the price lower for families.

Nhan A — Google review

I was disappointed to visit this swimming pool. The whole complex looks rather old, not modern at all, starting with lockers and showers, to the three tube-slides and the pool itself, with not very clean and clear water, no tiles on the walls or bottom of the pool. Lots of children visiting the pool (main one, unfortunately) and jumping into it from the springboards and the diving tower, making a lot of noise and blocking all lanes but ONE for those who want to swim. After kids are gone, still only two lanes are available for swimming. The two saunas (one dry and one damp) do work, but again, are old-fashioned and not really pleasant to visit. There is a nice warm-water small pool and a Jacuzzi outdoors, worth recommending, though.

Cyprian C — Google review

Very nice place for kids or family and friends. Good options, clean place, food afordable. 10 out of 10.

Sintija A — Google review

Just the best in Oslo and area to the South East

Nikolai S — Google review

Great venue! Lots of jumps and slides. Children loved it!

András G — Google review

Best place around Oslo area. Swimming pool. Warm water pool. Indoor and outdoors Jacuzzi. Slides for kids. Waves and rapids. A

KVESETH P — Google review

The price is way too high for the quality. Everything is rusty or not working like the jumping board. You can't adjust them. Not a single one is working, and the water is very murky. Hygiene omg it's not there.

Beautiful little lake with 2-5km walks, playground for kids, picnic areas and even a little kiosk with hot and cold food plus snacks 🙂

Nice place for grill and swimming

Joanna W — Google review

Great great lake with a very nice path to go around and enjoy it. The walk takes 30' in moderate pace, there are two beaches, a waffle shop, toilets, benches to sit and enjoy the still waters, kind people walking and enough parking, although, JUST barely as of late, Jessheim is growing.A great lake for our small city 😍

Kostas T — Google review

What a wonderful lake! There is a sandy beach near the main entrance, equipped with a diving board, a rail to help one walk into the water, and even proper bathrooms. There are areas you can BBQ/grill, several benches all around the lake, and well placed waste bins near the entrance. You'll find a beach volleyball court and an outdoor gym near the lower, larger parking lot. There is a ton of space for picnics or sun tanning on the grass around the beach itself.A beautiful main trail goes around the lake, with additional free trails in the forest area.Definitely worth a visit! 😃🐾🌳

Olga D — Google review

A nice place to go for a tour, it will take you approximately 30 minutes for 1 round. I always walk here and I bike sometimes. Tried visiting here on all seasons and it’s still beautiful no matter what. They even have workout equipments near the parking area that’s accessible for everyone. Love this place!

If u live Jessheim that’s where u go all summer after work + weekends. 😉😉 and if u don’t live Jessheim I would suggest someplace else as it could be VERY VERY crowdy especially during weekends (unless u like it like that then it’s all yours ).

Marine national park, established in 2009, with rare animals & seaweeds & protected coral reefs.

Such a gorgeous little island. Very easy to get the ferry to from Strönmstad and fairly cheap too. It was a beautiful hot summers day when I went. There was only 2 restaurants where we got off on the island (North Koster) One of the restaurants was actually a hot dog/pizza stall. So be warned. But it was lovely to walk around.

Olivia F — Google review

Nice beach, islands and too many wild birds.

Ali A — Google review

Great place to hike around, beautiful sea and nice nature. Cute little red and white houses typical for Nordic countries.I took a ferry going from Stromsund north harbour to north Koster Island, then went for a hike around ended in south harbour, took a cable ferry for 10 SEK to South Koster Island, had a really good meal (Lasagne) in a new restaurant, then hired around south Koster Island and took a ferry back from east part of the island back to Stromstund.

Daniel G — Google review

Beautiful islands with incredible beaches, hills and forests. Perfect for spending a day or even staying a little longer and exploring by foot. You can arrive at one ferry port and depart from another, so you can walk in pretty much any direction you want. Just be mindful of the time schedule.

Anthony S — Google review

Beautiful place with so many islands.

Pierre B — Google review

Greate walkway after a short boat trip towards the Koster Island. A small paradise of you enjoy walking around the small island, watching and sharing it with the other tourists, travelers and the inhabitants.

Bjoern S — Google review

Nord-Koster and the ocean surrounding it is a great experience. The trail around the Nord-Koster island has a lot of different micro-landscapes, a rich bird life, and nice view towards the ocean and the sunset if you choose the right time of day.

Erik P — Google review

Ferry to the islands and back was 280 SEK but it was fun.The island was quite nice with some wonderful scapes, a fantastic view and great trails to walk through. But there are lots of tourists in the main season of course, that was a little too stressful at the ferrys and main points

Flix — Google review

Not our favourite national park, but at least good. We payed 280 SEK for the ferry (round trip means return ticket btw). The ferry goes approx. every 2 hours. It took 4 hours to go around the South Island where the most part consists of the National Park. The yellow way was not very interesting, the red one at the coast was beautiful and the mini coral reef is really worth looking. This was nr 17 of 30 national parks for us. We recommend Skulleskogen for a more natural coast area.

Matt G — Google review

Don't go here to watch animals.. it's like normal island . Rent a electric cart roam all over the island.. ferry is good.. u will get all the things in island. U can rent bike or also can walk.

Rajendra S — Google review

Just nice to know that in this beautiful city full of history. (It's one of the oldest town in Norway) you can get to a free water taxi all year around... for FREE!! Yes exactly, the service payed by the council so why not taking advantage of it. It's just beautiful to navigate from the very center to the old town. Or one of the small islands... Just beautiful! Enjoy :)

One of the best things in Norway is the extremely high quality of arts and culture. F15 is true gem and unique experience totally worth visiting while in the Oslo region! Also a really beautiful nature experience with beach and old twisted trees.

Ville L — Google review

I love the area and the beautiful nature. Wonderful view to the beach, nice hiking trails and overall a pearl. A nice, but pricy, cafe with a good variety of food and beverages. The art gallery is something for itself, not really my style or liking when it comes to art, but it’s not too bad

Hannah H — Google review

A decent gallery. They host various artists with different types of mediums. From the world famous, to the not so famous. The neighbouring cafe makes it a "perfect day out" -location.

The gallery's environs with its tranquil woods that occasionally come close to the water's edge are absolutely perfect for walks. The gallery itself has a fine cafe with a good selection of freshly made food (it has its own excellent bakery 🙂) and drink. The shop has a very good selection of art books and other various novelties. The exhibitions vary in quality and must be judged separately. I would recommend that prospective visitors check them out before going.
