In this article, I’ve listed the 30 things money can’t buy. We know money can’t buy everything. In fact, money can’t buy the best things in life.
Sounds like a cliché, but it’s important that we keep money in its proper perspective. Money is not a friend, it’s not an enemy, and it should never be a lofty goal. Money is simply a medium of exchange and a tool.

Let’s dispel the myth that money will make you happy and it’s ok to chase money.
Everywhere we turn we are bombarded with money making ideas and money hacks and ways to get money. But the truth is: Money can’t buy happiness and money is certainly not the one thing you should focus your life around.
Sure money is important, but lets slow our roll just a bit with thinking everything can be bought and sold with money. It can’t!

Here are 30 things that money can’t buy
Time – We all have the same 24 hours every day. No more and no less. You can’t buy more.
Loyalty – Money has been used to bribe and purchase loyalty, but real loyalty has no price.
Peace – All the money in the world can’t buy you peace. In fact, money may cost you some peace and cause you a lot of stress in the process.
True Friends – They can’t be bought, sold, rented, auctioned off, or leased. Money doesn’t move these people. Steer clear of people who can be moved by money. They are dangerous. Click here for 10 reasons you should never loan money to family or friends.
Gratitude – If you ever run across gratitude that is for sale, run the opposite direction. Disingenuous is in the air.
Self-Esteem – Any confidence that can be bought, isn’t really have confidence in the first place.
Good Mental Health – There is no price on a sound mind. Sometimes people with the most money have the poorest mental stability.
Good Physical Health – Money doesn’t save you from ailments that affect your health. It may preserve you a little longer, but it may give you access to things that will destroy your physical health quicker then if you didn’t have money.
Wisdom – Wisdom comes with time, through patience, from experience, by listening, and by applying knowledge and understanding to a given situation. Not money. Just because a person has money, doesn’t make them wise. And some of the wisest people I know, have very little money!
Hard Work – If money is the only motivator for hard work, there will soon be a problem.

Good Character – Integrity is intrinsic.
Common Sense – Logic, in the form of good ole fashioned common sense, is not so common.
Joy – Money can’t buy happiness, but keep in mind, joy is different than happiness. Happiness comes and goes and sometimes may be for sale. However, true joy is not phased by material items, sunshine, a good meal, or anything else. Joy is a choice that is left up to each individual, it’s not controlled by feelings, and money has no chance against it.
Missed Opportunities – Opportunities wait for no one. Once an opportunity is gone, it’s gone. All the money in the world can’t bring it back.
Love – Money can’t buy love. Regardless of whether or not it appears to be for sale, real unconditional love can’t be bought.
Good Reputation – You can only rent or lease a good reputation. Ultimately, the real person will shine through.
Respect – If you attempt to buy respect, you aren’t going to get respect. You’ll get a form of respect that appears genuine for a moment. That’s called fool’s gold.
Trust – Money has the opposite effect on trust. The more money you throw at it, the less trust you build. Throw enough money at trust and people are likely to never trust you.
Soft Skills – These are the basics of life. Leadership, teamwork, communication, being on time, empathy for others, and more. You can certainly pay some money and learn them but if you don’t have the will or determination, that money won’t help matters.
We have terms that we use for soft skills that are paid for…. terms like fake, phony, disingenuous, and I’m sure you can think of some others.
Gravity – Feel free to attempt to purchase some gravity. It will cost you a lot of money, and ultimately what goes up will come down.
A Good Night’s Sleep – You’re probably saying “I can buy a better bed, buy a better neighborhood, and buy some quiet”. All of that is true. However, you can never escape the noise in your own head that prevents you from getting a good nights sleep. Some of the wealthiest people in the world have a hard time sleeping.
Good Manners – “Hello”, “Thank You”, “Please”. “I’m Sorry”. Sometimes it seems like money actually makes people forget some of these basics.
Memories – Memories are literally priceless. The unfortunate things is, memories fade, and money can’t buy them back.
Beauty – The more people attempt to buy beauty, the more unattractive they become. Beauty sort of runs away from those who try to buy it. I won’t mention any names here, but fill in the blanks with examples of the people you know.
Purpose in Life – Your purpose, your gifts, your talent, or whatever you are supposed to deliver to the people of the world, is in you, from birth. Money can buy your job and your talent for a short time, but your gifts and your purpose will never leave you because it’s yours and goes with you forever.
Positive Attitude – We all know some people that make a lot of money and have a terrible attitude. And we know some people with no money who have the best attitude in the world. So much for money when it comes to a positive attitude.
Kindness – It may cost you a little time and a tiny bit of brain power, but It it certainly doesn’t cost any money.

Good Relationship With Your Kids – Money can’t buy friendships and relationships. Not the one’s that are genuine. And money can’t buy the true heart of people.
Good Intention – Not only can money not buy good intentions, it may ruin intentions by negatively influencing them. A good heart is not persuaded one way or another by money.
Money can’t buy everything. In fact, if you look closely at this list, you’ll soon realize that money can’t buy the best things in life.
