1970 D Washington Quarter Value

Quarters minted in Philadelphia in 1970 are usually worth 25 cents or their face value. However, their prices depend on their condition and rarity. For example, most pieces cost $1 to $30 on average, while the most expensive coins are graded MS 67.

According to an article published in Women's World, there are a limited number of coins minted in 1970 that were accidentally printed over 1941 Canadian quarters! Once you know what to look for, you can actually see the printed mistake.

1970-D quarters struck on dime stock range in value from $30 for pieces with moderate wear to $350 for the finest uncirculated specimens. Those struck on a dime planchet, which is made by striking a real dime blank in a quarter coin press, are not the same coins as these.

Value of 1970-D Lincoln Memorial Cent

The 1970-D Lincoln Memorial Cent is common in all grades and well struck with deep details. Look for the coins with the most original luster and the least amount of scratches.

Mint, they could lead to an item ballooning in value by a factor of 2 million or more. That's what happened to several pennies produced in 1982, which pushed their value up from 1 cent to nearly $20,000.

In 1970, Pennies coined in Philadelphia had no mint marks. The mint made 1,898,315,000 of them. With so many minted, this coin isn't especially expensive.

Since introducing the dime in 1946, the Mint has struck numerous Roosevelt coins yearly, and 1970 is no different. Due to the large mintage, the 1970 no-mint mark dimes are very common and plentiful across all grades. You can expect about $0.15 to $0.35 for circulated examples in this series.

A couple of tenths of a gram heavier, and these coins would be described simply as “struck on a thin planchet.” The 1970-D Washington quarter dollar struck on dime thickness stock is very common. At any given time, a few can be found online at prices from just a few dollars to over a hundred, depending on condition.
